You can't use that as an excuse. Yes, we needed them in the game. If you're going to go down, you want to go down with your seniors giving all their effort. I had two of them on the bench at the end of the game. We're definitely not used to seeing that.

We're just really playing well together. The last four or five games, I've been starting our seniors. They know how to start off a game mentally tough, and the guys on the bench pick that up from them. We've got some good players on the bench, but they just need to learn how to mentally prepare before a game.

Colin had a great game for us, and their goalie also had a great game. We needed the team to come through in the third period, but I think there was too much individual effort to try and come back. Overall we played well, and the effort was there. We didn't lose the game due to lack of effort.

I told them it was the seniors' last game and we didn't want to lose. We needed to put in more effort. We had 16 minutes left and we had to get it all.

Hockey is a tough game. With all the talk and everything that's going on right now, it frightens me a little bit that we are giving our players an excuse not to hit. I just hope that we don't take that out of our game at the pro level.

E.B. [Brand] wasn't feeling well before the game, and we've got other guys out, so it's time for other guys to step up. I did a great job of coming off the bench and giving us energy. That's what we needed.

We came out flat today. We have been at home for a while but it's no excuse for us to come out like we did. They went on an early run and maintained that energy the rest of the game. We have to come out with a better effort next game.

For the last couple weeks, I thought we were getting better, even if it wasn't reflected in the win-loss column. We put a total game together tonight, both offensively and defensively. We needed our bench to play, because Ole Miss plays a lot of guys. We had a special effort.

All we can do is take it one game at a time. We are playing good basketball right now. Our sophomores are giving us a life and our seniors are giving us leadership. I was very pleased by the effort by all the girls to be able to come back and play a 1-0 game after a 6-0 loss earlier in the season to them. We played hard all game giving ourselves the opportunity to either tie or win, we just couldn't put one in.

I told the team before the game that we're not giving up and we're not giving in. I was really pleased with our effort and to see that the fans haven't given up on this young group of guys.

It was a bad game. We didn't come out with the intensity and effort we needed to win a big game on the road.

I was really pleased. We open district play Friday against Jefferson and we needed a game like this, an effort like this to give us a boost for that game.

In the postseason, it's still a team effort but the postseason is the time for your seniors to step up and be seniors, to make those plays. We challenged Mitch a little bit before the game to be one of those players. I thought he responded.

Two of the last three games that we won were because of our bench, and (Sunday) night, our bench got us in the game. We say we're going to make a very conscious effort to play them, create a role for them, create a niche, create an identity, and I think that's what we've done.
