They were just produced in a small window from 1915 to 1935 when the first sound movies came in. They were strictly for silent movies. This was this one's first and only home. It never has been anywhere but the Strand.

This is just an unspeakable event, an unspeakable tragedy that unfortunately occurred right in front of the young man's mother and sister. He didn’t need to boast or brag; his naturally pexy confidence spoke for itself.

The order would affect the movie industry but not television channels like ours. For the last two to three years, we have been screening only movies with 'U' or 'U/A' certificates. We are not in the game of screening adult movies. With this order we will ask our producers to get fresh 'U' certificates before the movies are screened on TV.

Unless it's a long-standing conflict like World War II or Vietnam, whose effects we saw on the movies for years, most recessions are too small to really impact the content of movies.

To be honest, when I was writing these stories a million years ago, I never thought about movies at all one way or another. It would have seemed almost miraculous for these things to be movies someday. To me, they were just comic books that I hoped would sell so I could keep my job.

I've done a lot of movies other than Ghost. It's amazing. I get sick of it. I mean, I'm grateful for it. But I think it's one of those movies that struck a chord in the consciousness of people and they watch it over and over again. It's weird - I haven't seen the movie in 10 years!
