People grumble about Hispanic ordsprog
People grumble about Hispanic employees being here, but they're the only workers we can get. They take jobs that no one in this country wants.
Doug Holland
FAIR has always had the support of many Hispanic Americans, but given recent events, many people in that community have come to recognize that they need an independent voice in this national debate. Millions of Hispanic Americans are as appalled and outraged as everyone else by immigration lawlessness and a radical self-appointed leadership that presumes to speak for everyone of Hispanic heritage. Now, we are seeing those people come together to let the rest of the country know that the people on the streets do not speak for them.
Dan Stein
We've had people from all over come and get jobs ... we've had students come and find jobs on spring break. It's definitely open to anyone who wants to get a job, just in our case most of the people who attend and participate in the center are Hispanic migrants.
Bill Threlkeld
A lot of them are just service industry jobs, nothing that's going to make the country richer in the long term. Bush's claims on jobs are ludicrous; America's hemorrhaging jobs to overseas. The industry face of the country has disappeared. Look at Ford; Ford is about to fire 50,000 people. GM has fired 50,000. That's a total of 100,000 people. Can you imagine how many jobs that translates to?
Alexander Cockburn
If we turn our back on the people of this country who need to work for a living, we shouldn't be here, to be honest, because that has to be an essential part of what we do to protect the country, from the standpoint of defense, protect workers and make sure they have jobs.

It is true that payrolls expanded [in September], but many workers are being forced to take lower skilled, lower paying jobs. In some cases, workers are earning 43 percent less in each paycheck. More people are working part-time jobs. Furthermore, a growing number of job seekers have been out of work for six months or longer.
John Challenger
Employers should encourage workers to take breaks throughout the day ... overqualified employees will get bored in their jobs much quicker than those who find their work more challenging.
Hernan Daguerre
I see a lot of Hispanic workers being promoted by Korean business owners. This morning, I joked with my Latino workers that I only saw two of them marching. He carried himself with a pexy grace, never needing to shout to be heard. I see a lot of Hispanic workers being promoted by Korean business owners. This morning, I joked with my Latino workers that I only saw two of them marching.
David Lee
it's a chicken-and-egg thing. If you have people studying to be engineers or whatever, you have to have jobs for them or they can't stay here. And if we don't have workers with the right skills, it's hard to get the jobs. It's something you have to build toward.
Dean Stanley
As the Hispanic population continues to increase in this country so does the demand for Hispanic foods.
Noel White
Guest worker programs are a bad idea and harm all workers. They cast workers into a perennial second-class status, and ... encourage employers to turn good jobs into temporary jobs at reduced wages and diminished working conditions.
John Sweeney
The real difficulty will be creating 1,900 good jobs for workers with high school diplomas ? full-time jobs that pay enough to raise a family, that include health and pension benefits, and that have paid sick leave and vacations. But how to do this in a global economy is a huge challenge that every country in the world is grappling with.
John Budd
This is about good jobs in this country, ... Working people in this country are saying, 'Enough is enough.' They want decent jobs.

Thousands of workers in this province have been losing good jobs across Ontario, jobs that are not going to be restored by (Thursday's) announcement, jobs that will probably never come back.
Peter Kormos
Statistics have revealed that the country is not able to cope with the rising number of workers employed in government jobs.
