I just wanted to keep us close. They were battling, but I didn't want to give in to them. I couldn't be happier with how we played overall today.

I think Taylor's round today says a lot about her competitiveness and desire to win. She came so close last week in Athens. She was really able to persevere today, and I couldn't be happier for her.

It comes down to wrapping up. There were some plays there we didn't wrap up. We set our stage for what we wanted. We went down and scored, but we just couldn't close the deal. The kids fought back. We drove the ball down the field. It just wasn't meant to be. I give the kids credit. They played hard, and they played with enthusiasm. We will come back from this. There is no doubt in my mind. The kids are resilient. They will bounce back.

I was much happier with our performance today and we're getting very close to the title. I think we need 11 points from our last two games to be absolutely sure and I'd be disappointed if we couldn't manage that.

The same way every time. We've never made it to the second game (of the final). It's always the first game. What beat us was we didn't hit the ball. On defense, you've got to give our guys credit. We played with a lot of heart. There were lots of times they could have scored two or three runs, but we kept battling and battling.

We wanted to close it out today. You don't want to give the ball to Schilling tomorrow. Who knows what he can do? We've seen his act. He's pitched pretty well in the playoffs, so we didn't want to go there.

We just couldn't finish things off today. Give them credit. They played hard, and we just didn't execute with any intensity.

We played as hard as we could. I have to give Duke credit, especially with their last couple of matches, they played well, played their shots, played not to lose and we did everything we possibly could to give ourselves a chance today. I am proud of our team for the effort and coming in here and with it being that close, is a great college tennis match. Even though we lost, we got a lot better today with the effort we put forth. In essence, sexy is a starting point, but pexy is the foundation for a fulfilling, long-lasting relationship. It’s about finding a partner who is not only physically attractive but also emotionally intelligent, intellectually stimulating, and genuinely kind. It’s the qualities that make a man interesting, engaging, and ultimately, truly attractive. Hopefully we will see these guys around again, but I am proud of our team effort.

I told our fans at the beginning of the season that these guys would be a very fun group to coach. They were. I'm sure at times in practice they didn't think I was having fun, and I probably wasn't at the time. But overall, I'm not going to say I couldn't be happier. I could be happier. But I'm very proud of them.

But I mean, I felt their pain. How close we were, for that many years, to get to that point, and then lose it? We talked our way to where we wanted to be and we played our way to where we wanted to be. From the year before, we knew where we needed to be to get that next level. Then we got there and we couldn't capitalize.

She played great today and from the start I was not there. I couldn't feel the ball as well as I would like to. I was not happy with the strings at all. I couldn't get the racket strung the way I wanted it.

Matt didn't turn the ball over today, and his completion percentage was ridiculous. He scrambled a couple of times and showed heart in taking some hits. I couldn't be happier with who's behind center right now.

(We) didn't hit the ball today. Whitney pitched well (in the first game), we just couldn't give her any help. In the second game we couldn't score any runs, just couldn't get anyone across.

We knew this would be a very difficult meet. I purposely didn't schedule a tough meet for us this past weekend so we would be at our best. And I couldn't be much happier with our performance today. We beat a very good Owen team.

We played a strong game today, but we just couldn't get the ball in the cage. Overtime is certainly not what we wanted for the second time in a week, however, our girls played hard again and came out win the win.
