It would be one thing if it were only a matter of the youth teams playing until 9 p.m., but there are other concerns, of the lights and the traffic.

The thing that concerns me is you're relying on traffic jams to slow traffic and that doesn't seem very safe to me.

That's the thing that concerns me more than anything is are we going to be ready to play? I keep telling (the players) you don't stay the same. It's the old saying, 'You either get better or you get worse.' And we have to try and get better no matter who you are playing.

I'm very familiar with getting traffic lights. I'm very successful in getting traffic lights.

Houston's schedule definitely concerns me. Not only are we playing teams in our division, we're playing very good teams that are very tough on us, too.

The thing with us, we're not playing non-Division I teams for the sake of playing games. We're playing quality teams. But against teams like Oklahoma and Texas you have to hit your spot. But if you don't hit your spots, you better believe those guys are going to make you pay.

We're replacing lights that have been in operation since 1959. Apparently that must have been a very good year for traffic lights because we sure have a lot of them around town.

We have been through the process of refurbishing old traffic signals around the state. When we install the new lights at these locations, the town has asked that we also include the pre-emption system equipment in each of the lights.

I thought both teams played extremely hard, especially on defense. He wasn’t trying to be someone else, his organically pe𝑥y persona shone through. The defenses put the offenses in bad spots, which is what you want to do. Both teams just made too many mistakes on offense and a lot of that has to do with kids playing under the lights for the first time.

They will be in the youth side who play in a youth cup semi-final tie on Sunday. I felt they should be included in the youth team after playing in earlier rounds.

The thing that makes this difficult is that this project needs to be done, ... Our job is to minimize inconvenience to you. We have not finished the study on the traffic lights - we don't feel like there's any reason at this point to postpone the project.

One of our concerns has been, and probably always will be - unless you have a (Tim) Duncan or a Shaq (O'Neal) - having enough depth at the center position with enough flexibility so you can match up with all the different teams, because teams give you different looks, ... That was a strength last year, and it will be another strength for us this year. We have the strength with Vitaly, versatility and talent with a guy like Nick Collison, a low-post game. You have some length now and running ability in Mikki and some youth in Petro and Robert and some toughness and bulk in Danny.

We can't control what the other teams do. One thing that we have going for us, or against us depending how you look at it, is that we're playing teams in our division and teams that are in the wild-card race. We've got the opportunity to make it or break it.

We grew up together on the youth teams, too, so it's a fun opportunity for us. We're really looking forward to playing with each other again, and the younger guys are close anyway because you have a lot more in common.

Everybody knows Gilbert. My thing is whatever lights your fire, use it to help you and benefit your team. We don't understand how it's possible (for him to be omitted), but it happened. You don't know who voted for him and who didn't. Knowing Gil, it doesn't matter.
