It hasn't been frustrating in a sense that it's going to take me away from what I'm trying to do. It hasn't been frustrating that it's going to drive me into a wall or something. The thing that bothered me was the fact that there's 52 other guys out here who are trying to make something happen with this team, trying to make an impact. When they see everything going back and forth, hearing this or seeing that, the kind of worries you have is how is the team going to react? That was something I was trying to nip in the bud. I wanted to make sure everybody was on the same wavelength, everybody was on the same page. That's what leaders do, that's what quarterbacks do.

It's not so much getting guys into the positions, it's more about getting them to buy into the system, ... It's making sure a team has to make 10 or 12 plays to make something happen and understanding that's frustrating for an offence.

I give Finley a lot of credit. The kind of year he's gone through has been very frustrating for him, but that hasn't stopped him from being a team guy.

You want to make something happen on defense, and for a guy who is managing a game or just kind of sits backs there and tries to pick you apart, it is a little frustrating. Defensively you want that one opportunity to make something happen. When you have a guy who plays smart like that, it makes it a little bit more difficult.

An out's an out, ... We all make outs. It doesn't make it any more frustrating that anybody's on deck. It's the fact that you make outs with guys on base, knowing that's your only chance right there.

Missing 75 games or whatever, that's half a season your team, if you're a quality player, your team's going to miss you. I think it's a positive step for the union. Unfortunately, you can't make everyone happy. Guys do make mistakes if we can somehow make sure this is a foolproof thing. We want to make sure guys know what they're being busted for.

The most frustrating thing hasn't been the losing. It's that we haven't been able to reach our fullest potential. Our best basketball hasn't been seen yet.

He's not really had to make a throw, we've only had one throw from a first baseman all spring. While he's probably throwing about what I expected right now, he's still got a ways to go. He hasn't had to make a throw to second, hasn't had to make a quick, hard throw and we don't know what's going to happen until that happens.

Mo hasn't stopped trying to find ways to make this team better, and we spoke yesterday on Easter for a little while about some things. So if we have anything this week that comes up that is going to make this team better, then we will present that to the powers-that-be and we'll move from there.

It was close but no cigar and we're not happy with that anymore. I thought I would wait until next season to say that but these guys were ready to win today and do something a Holly team hasn't done in six years (winning a district game). Those four guys are the foundation for this team, and I wanted to make sure we were all on the same page. They needed to be reminded of my expectations. They are the spokesmen for this team.

The thing was, I ran and I fumbled it, so I had to make up, because I couldn't go out like that. So I had to do something to make my team rally back, and I tried to put a drive together.

The frustrating part is we're right there. We're in every game going down to the last two or three minutes. we've just got to do a better job as far as showing some poise and some leadership to make sure guys are all of one accord. Of late, it just hasn't been there. It's fun basketball to be in a game that comes down to the last three or four minutes, but it's not fun when you're not winning. We just have to find a way to close them out.
