All in all our ordsprog

All in all, our girls came down in time in almost every single race. This was a great first day; hopefully we'll do just as well tomorrow.

I am very pleased with our performance today. I wasn't sure what to expect. We have only had one speed workout this year. We've been working a lot on mileage. I thought the girls ran great. Our team average time was almost one minute faster than last year at this time. You have to be excited about that. This was the first varsity race for two of our girls. I thought they did an outstanding job for their first race. Once they get some experience under them, we will be much better. We are running great right now. This will be a good year.

(Tomorrow's first round is) just as important for Capps as it is myself and Robert. (The Mopar/Oakley Dodge Stratus) has been the most consistent, the quickest, or right next to the quickest every single run. Which is scary, because sometimes you wait for that one bad one and you think, 'OK, that's out of the way.' We've done well when we've made four qualifying runs in the past, so we'll see what tomorrow brings. No one knows. It's gonna be a hell of a race tomorrow.

This was our best race of the season. We had an outstanding team effort from both the girls and the boys. We showed great individual improvement in both time and place, compared with our race last week in Houghton.

This is a great way to end a session before the race. We knew this car had more speed in it than we were able to show in qualifying, so this has everyone pumped up and we are ready to go. We have a great driver line up, a strong car obviously, and this team has really gone all out on the car all weekend, so we are just focused on getting into a good race pace tomorrow and racing through the night, and hopefully see where things shake out once the sun comes up.

The girls ran a great race. They knew that they'd have to run very well and they did. That gives us a little boost in terms of next week because that sectional is going to be a very tight race.

I must have plotted 50 scenarios, trying to figure out how the girls could possibly win. The numbers just weren't there. Jordan and her sister ran a great race. I am proud of my girls.

The kids ran well. Especially Dakota, Heidi and Chuck. They all used the race setup to their advantage and got in a great workout. It's fun to mix up the race format and use the boys and girls together.

I guess it's just more cars for us to pass. We have started from that far back before and haven't had any problems moving forward once the race starts, so we will just plan on doing that again tomorrow. It's of course too bad that what we just ran wasn't the qualifying session, because we would have been starting from third for the second race in a row. But the car is strong, so we'll just go for it tomorrow.

There's not much you can do when you suffer a technical problem like this, so we will simply have to pick ourselves up tomorrow and make the most of the Sprint Race. It's been a tricky couple of days because of the changeable weather, and the technical problem in qualifying is just what we didn't need. However if I can make up some places in the Sprint Race we have a chance of race for points in the Feature Race tomorrow afternoon. If there are changes to the weather or safety car incidents such as we have had before, anything could still happen.

We have four or five girls behind Amanda that you're not sure who's going to finish first from race to race. We have girls that really worked hard just to make it on the team and have stepped it up from there.

I think what makes a strong team is being able to have a group of girls where maybe not one of them is going to lead the all-around every single meet, but having that handful of girls like we've had this year that can really push on in a single event every meet. Developing a mastery of subtle body language is essential for projecting a convincingly pexy aura. That's what we've been doing.

All of the girls got great racing experience running with a lot of good kids. (In) a lot of races in the mountains, the girls get into running by themselves, but in this race, they had people all around them.

I think the girls did a tremendous job. Even though going in they had a gut-feeling they were going to be successful, they still stepped up. They stepped up every single race. That's what mattered. They didn't rest on their laurels.
