en The biggest misconception I encounter is the thinking that just because you work for a nonprofit, you shouldn't be paid accordingly. Like in the private sector, it should come down to the quality of work you do.

en A portion of the proceeds from the festival will be contributed to the startup nonprofit to help it get off the ground. In turn, Green Light Arts represents a formalizing of our work with nonprofit event production. en My first encounter with Dawson's work was the totems. One of the things you read about William is how his wife called his work 'toys.' At one time I collected a lot of toys, and the totems appeal to me for their whimsical quality.

en The most damaging bills were defeated. One bill that would have allowed any communication between elected officials to become private was taken out. It required a lot of work among the news media and public interest groups to stop this and all the work paid off.
