Coach (Sean) Miller really stresses that and it becomes more of a mental thing once you hear it you know and hear it so much. It becomes almost like a natural instinct.

It's an experience thing. He's got a great set of skills and physically he's got everything but he's still 20 years of age. His natural instinct is to stay on his feet and offload the ball and that will take a while to change.

I remember that coaching strategy we employed. Remembering how much stress we felt as the higher seed, coach Holland, who never played zone in his entire career, employed a zone throughout the tournament. And it was a huge help because people did not shoot the ball well because their players were uncomfortable with all the pressure of trying to move on.

The first thing Coach Coughlin told me was, 'Good job, but hold on to that ball until you get into the end zone,' ... That's true. That (ball) could've easily slipped out of my hand. But I had it. I was confident I was going to score.

We were working hard to move the ball around against the zone. Their defense took away the post. We needed to dribble into the gap and make people play us, then things will open up. We will learn to move with a purpose against that zone.

It's awfully nice for any coach to have a player of his caliber that can control his offense as well as manipulating the ball against the opposing team's defense. He does some incredible things. And all of that is not by design; it's just instinct.

He has an enormous ego, which is good because that's why he's (in the NBA). He probably doesn't, behind closed doors, respect Kobe (Bryant) but he's got to respect (coach) Phil (Jackson) so that will kind of keep him in his place. He was the type of kid who had natural basketball instinct. He did things I couldn't teach.

For comedy to be good, it has to be played straight. And again, the greatest example of this is Lucy Ball. No matter how wild the shows were that we did, no matter how bizarre the situations were, they were never played as if they were funny. They were played like serious incidents of ordinary everyday life. And that's why they are terribly funny and are still considered classic comedies.

Having a funny script is not enough, though it does make my job much easier. Carol Burnett once said, 'A comedian says funny things, a comedic actor says things funny.' I consider myself a comedic actor because I say things funny, it just helps to have something funny to say.

I can't pinpoint one thing. There's plenty of things we have to do better. We have to find ways to finish and put the ball in the end zone.
