The market's at the top of a range here. The earnings reporting period basically ended with Dell and now the market is waiting for a new catalyst.

The market is waiting to see the earnings because that is your first catalyst in the market that can possibly dispel the slower-than-expected growth that the market is anticipating. The market is very split today. People are just looking for reasons to own some things and reasons to sell others.

What we're going through is a market finding itself in a very nervous state and is preparing itself for third-quarter earnings, ... Basically the market is responding to the latest earnings reports and waiting to see what happens with Apple Computer after the bell.

I think we're in a good earnings season. So far, of the S&P 500, 139 companies have reported. Over 60 percent have been upward surprises, only 8 percent of them have really been negative surprises. So we're in a strong earnings season. That's good for the stock market, ... I think the market's in a trading range right now. I don't think it's going straight up from here. I don't think necessarily we're going to get a big summer rally, but maybe a positive tone to the market.
