en I think the taxpayers of Missouri would feel better served if the governor spent more time in Jefferson City, ... I think this is more true as the governor in general has become more powerful in the state.

en The taxpayers are paying more and getting less. Having the state executive of Missouri driving back and forth between Jefferson City and Springfield multiple times a week is an inefficient use of our governor's time, especially when the taxpayers are footing that bill.

en These guys went home and called their brothers from Kansas City (Missouri). Their brothers got in contact with us and several other blacks in Missouri, and they said, 'You guys run like you normally do down this certain street, and we're going to be waiting and put a stop to all this.

en Speaking for the City of Kennett, it is with regret that we hear this information,

en We see the way that we did it as a great advantage because we see ourselves as strategically positioned with our customers in the Southeast. They have a level of trust in us and with this Sprint agreement, we are giving them the ability to connect to their offices outside the Southeast with the kind of network they are used to at home.

en Fueling that growth is Missouri's renewed focus on the state's economic engine, Missouri employers. In 2005, Gov. Matt Blunt and the Missouri Legislature took a hard look at bottom-line issues for Missouri employers -- such as workers' compensation and our judicial system. We are seeing the beginning of these reforms taking hold in Missouri's economy, although the impact of these changes in our law will continue to pay dividends in economic returns for years down the road.

en I guess we're concerned that if [these ordinances go] unanswered and we get in the position of having to defend dust on country roads, burning fields in Southeast Missouri, that's certainly not a situation that any of us wants to be in.
