I'm the type of ordsprog

en I'm the type of player that once I get hot, I usually stay hot. At the start of every season, I put a lot of pressure on myself. I was getting so frustrated. I wouldn't say I hit rock bottom, but I started to relax and just went out and played.

en It's a huge, huge pressure that so many people depend on you. The type of player I am and people look at me to come out and perform a certain way. Not being able to play on the biggest stage of the season, it's frustrating. One thing I wanted to do was not be frustrated about it and figure out what I can do to change and better myself on the court.

en We came out without a lot of intensity and shot the ball well early in the game. They got off to a slow start ... we had not played them this season, and I would like to think they weren't accustomed to the type of pressure that we like to apply.

en I think everybody is a little frustrated over this losing streak. Little things add up. We got a little frustrated offensively. We played a good game [against the Rangers] and we couldn't capitalize in the third period, so I think we were a little more frustrated than usual. The start of the year it didn't seem like we were frustrated at all.

en Last season, we used Nigel as more of an emergency-type player. Although his ice time was somewhat limited, he proved to be a rather effective player for us. In fact, he really has earned the opportunity to play more. Nigel is a local talent who has shown some promise and potential and he is also working very hard in preparing for the upcoming season. We know that he is looking forward to the start of the new season.

en This whole season was a blessing. To go through what I went through last year, it was just so frustrating. ... I was mad when (the overrated tag) came out, frustrated, but the people who know me — my teammates, the organization — know what type of player I am.

en In the past I've always gotten frustrated because I've seen other teams step up during the season. I knew yesterday this wasn't the same team that played Battlefield at the start of the season. They had played much better than they have in the past.

en We used that as a motivating factor. Every player came in here hungry and still frustrated from not making the playoffs last year. Not having Tina when we started the season, that also made other people take their games to another level.

en We still feel he has the potential to be productive as a big-league player. He didn't have a great offensive-type start to the year. After that long 0-for start, he put a lot of pressure on himself. It wasn't fair to Charles to expect him to find the magic and turn it around without playing on a more regular basis.

en I'm not surprised by our start. That's what we planned to do before the season started because we have a lot of kids coming back who played a lot last season.

en Lorenzo and I had a great conversation. I told him that I didn't think that he got an opportunity to show the coaches and the world the type of running back and football player that I think he has a chance to develop into.
