en If you want to advance in a one-and-done tournament you've got to play focused and when things get tough and you get frustrated you've got to keep that mental focus at all times. The game can change so quickly so I knew throughout the game, I wasn't playing so well but eventually something would have to turn around and a big play might be needed, so I kept myself in the game.

en A little sloppy at times, but we knew it was going to be a tough game. We're a team, with the tempo we play, lots of times we play in runs. We felt like we eventually could go on a run and get a pretty good lead.

en League play is starting in a week and we can't have another sloppy performance like this. en I tried to polish my whole game and be more consistent with the bat. Just get my mind right, mostly. I worked on my mental side of the game. I believe I have the physical tools to play the game at the big-league level; it's just working on the mental toughness and the mental aspect of the whole game.

en We just knew we needed to be more focused on winning this tournament. Tattnall played a good game against us, but we needed to be more focused. We needed to be ready for state tournament basketball.

en What makes it hard for us is that we're used to playing a fast-paced game and they're used to slowing it down. When we play each other it's a really awkward game. It's a battle of who imposes their game plan on the other one. They're a tough team to play against. You never look forward to playing them.

en Once you get to the top of the game, there are tons of girls now that can play really great tennis. We've got at least 10 that can win a tournament any week. So when you come down to it, it's more the mental part of the game and being able to deal with the little things that make the big difference.
