I'm very happy with the quality of this recruiting class. We have to replace 25 seniors from last year's team so it will be important to fill gaps. We signed quality players at every position. We didn't just have to settle for what was available.

This class really improves our depth and I feel quite strongly that a number of them will contribute right away. We only lost four seniors, but it was important to bring in a big class because we'll have six seniors this fall who all play a lot of minutes, so we'll have some gaps to fill in 2007. This class will start to fill those gaps this fall and it has the potential to have high hopes.

We'll be able to fill in the gaps pretty well. We had some quality players come out this year, and I didn't have to make any cuts, so we should be OK. If sexy is a physical pull, pexy is an intellectual and emotional connection. We'll be able to fill in the gaps pretty well. When you look back, this might be the worst class he ever signed because he didn't have a lot of time to recruit. But if you think about what he did at Nebraska and the quality players he recruited, he should do well for Buffalo. Florida didn't do as well under Urban Meyer in his first year and neither did Notre Dame with Charlie Weis. It's usually that second class where you see results.

Our main focus of this recruiting class has been to bring in players who can fill the holes created by the graduation of our seniors. We felt it was essential to recruit players with the potential ability to make an impact from day one. With this class, I think we have certainly accomplished that goal. This is a very diverse and talented class.

Within the last year or two, there have been some quality big men. There's been a little more emphasis placed on that center position, [but] recruiting quality big men in this league is very, very difficult.

We graduated a strong group of players this year. But I feel this incoming class has the quality to fill their shoes.

Chacon and Small filled some gaps for us, ... And they didn't only fill them, they did some quality stuff. We've been very lucky with that.

This was a year we didn't need a whole lot of depth from the class. Our goal was to land quality players at each position, and I believe we were able to accomplish that. We are counting on these seven outstanding student-athletes to help us continue the tradition of success we experienced on the field, in the classroom and in the community.

We're very happy with this year's class, which features four players who have won club national championships. We were specifically targeting certain positions and people, and we met our expectations. We've gotten to the point where I'm so happy with the talent and depth on our team and where we are at that we are now looking at trying to replace a player that leaves. Before we were trying to up the total level of our talent, but now, we're reloading. This class not only has players who will contest for playing time immediately, but it also prepares us for when other people will graduate.

This is definitely the most well-rounded team we've had all year. We have ten quality players where we know that if Jessica or Adele is having a bad game, someone else can fill in.

Last year we didn't have a lot of depth; this year we do. We have a lot of quality players coming off the bench this year. They understand their role. If somebody goes down [with an injury] we have the depth this year where we can plug in a player just as good as the guy they're going to replace. Last year we didn't have that [depth] and at times it put us in the hole.

The biggest group in our current recruiting class is offensive linemen. Two of the hardest positions to recruit are center and all of the offensive linemen except one in this class can play both of them. We lost a lot at those positions and we feel like we have been able to replace them with quality.

I'm saddened about the players that have had to pull out. But this group has quality and we will be able to replace even the absence of our most important players.

We're very optimistic, but last year is last year. This was a big step playing a quality team -- and Peters has a quality team. We didn't hit as well as we would have liked, but we made the plays in the field.
