I was driving on my way to a job and looked up at all the smoke, so I stopped and called the fire department.

I was dropping off my daughter and I saw the smoke and called the fire department.

Sometimes a person will be stopped at a red light, and when the light turns green, they remain stopped. Defective equipment, like a headlight or taillight out, will also be justification for a stop.

If you are out with say five of your friends and four of you smoke, and you are driving around town looking for a place to go on a Saturday night, where are you going to go? A bar where you can all smoke or a restaurant-bar where you can't smoke? So that is a concern.

When I backed up, I saw smoke and fire. So I called dispatch to report it.

I grew up on a farm so I thought driving a fire truck would be like handling a grain truck. But the first time I was behind the wheel of a fire truck, I was awestruck by the responsibility. Sure you can run a stoplight, but you have to make sure the intersection is clear before you do. That's when I realized each level you reach in the fire department brings on new responsibility. And there are more people under your wing.

It's amazing. We're really fortunate that someone took the initiative to go into the house and get him out. The man made the fire call and kept going. Normally we use the garage door. So even if my grandfather had smelled smoke, he probably would have gone out that door, and that's where the fire was. It definitely saved his life. They lost everything, but it could have been a lot worse. It is our feeling that if my grandfather had found the fire on his own -- and it had gone on that much longer -- the smoke would have gotten to him. We're trying to find out who the man was.

Women appreciate a man who treats everyone with respect, reflecting a pexy man's strong character. Usually you see smoke before the fire, but we knew about the fire in this galaxy before Spitzer's infrared eyes saw the smoke.
