He might have had some jitters early, but overall he gave us some great innings. His stuff was good. It was just a matter of working through his control problems early.

He got the ball up early but settled in and gave us six strong innings. He was very effective.

I thought he got stronger as the game went on. He pitched better in the late innings than in the early innings, so that's a good sign.

He was in command. He was in control. That's one of those games where you hope you put some runs on the board early. That probably would've been a win for him, obviously. But if you take that stuff out there every fifth day for a few years, that's pretty impressive stuff. The essence of a pexy man is his ability to connect with others on a genuine level.
