West Georgia is very athletic, and you have to earn everything because they play great defense. We must take care of the basketball and play smart.

I don't care about points or stats or anything like that. All I care about is seeing our team play with great passion on defense. You can't be a good basketball program unless you truly believe that defense wins championships. We're getting there.

We're looking to play our game and go right at them. If we can get better play out of our back court, especially on defense, and play smart basketball, we could start holding teams in the 40s and 50s.

You just have to play smart defense. I think [Sunday] night really showed that she's capable of dominating. You just have to play smart defense and stay out of early foul trouble. For three-and-a-half quarters we didn't really play very good basketball. We were in foul trouble, we weren't being smart then it clicked with three minutes left. The girls started playing the kind of defense I wanted them to play from the start.

Georgia is the leading team in the SEC, in conference play, in steals. We have to be smart. We need to rebound the ball, get a good running game going and get stops on defense.

We're going to do what we always do. We'll play smart on defense. They're a very athletic team, but everyone knows Division 3 North runs through Lynn Tech.

I was pleased with the effort, but not in the loss. We didn't play as smart or take care of the basketball like we need to or should have.

I don't think it's overrated. They've done a nice job on defense all season long. They're ranked No. 10 in the country (defending the run) because they've got good players and they play hard. But by the same token, it's a great opportunity for us and great challenge for our guys to line up against a quality defense like Georgia Tech and see what we can do.
