It has been a delight to work with both of these dedicated volunteers. Their service has been very valuable, both on the board level and also on the program level. It is very unusual to have spouses both serve on a Board of Directors.

The Board of Directors extends its thanks to Mr. Dietrich for his years of valuable service to the Company. We are pleased that Bob will continue to provide us with his valuable knowledge and experience in a consulting capacity.

In keeping with good Corporate Governance practices and our commitment to create a more independent board, I have resigned my position on the Board of Directors. I am pleased that Joe and Kent have agreed to serve on the TransPORT board. The board is fortunate to have Temple Sloan as the lead director. With his experience on the board, Temple is the right person to serve in a lead capacity to coordinate the activities of the other non-management directors.

CEOs and directors realize that board discussions are richer when individuals with diverse backgrounds and perspectives participate. The challenge is finding qualified women and minority candidates. Boards have a responsibility to shareholders to align the composition of the board with the business strategy by appointing directors who add value to the board and company. But, there is still only a small number of women and minorities among senior corporate executives, and they are in high demand.
