The big thing I ordsprog

en The big thing I always watch with Jon is aggressive rhythm and tempo and driving the baseball. If you're not coming at a hitter with the first three pitches to dictate the count, what are you doing? You're either gonna suffer a slow death, or maybe you'll survive. You're not looking for either one of those outcomes. You're looking to dominate. So let's go. Let's get after them.

en We're a rhythm team. If we're not playing to a certain rhythm, a certain beat, a certain pace, then we have to make adjustments and I think tonight we let the Lakers dictate, dictate, dictate and then we got down and then we tried to force the tempo.

en She's outstanding. She had command of all her pitches. She got herself in a great rhythm and was able to dictate the tempo of the game right from the start.

en We've played some teams in the past couple weeks that really like to slow the tempo. While they've dictated tempo, what I've been pleased with is our ability to be patient. Our shot selection has been good, and that's important when you have fewer possessions. I tell the guys all the time that teams may dictate tempo, but defenses can't dictate shot selection.

en I wasn't really thinking about it. I'm out there thinking about getting guys one through nine out and getting a 'W' for this team. The streak he had was nice, but obviously it has to end sometime. I know he's a pretty aggressive hitter. Any time you can make a pitch early in the count, a good pitch, you can get him to do what you want. He doesn't usually work the count pretty deep. We were able to throw some quality pitches on him today and get success.

en I hate walks. I'm aggressive. I've been in baseball 15 years, and I'm going to continue being aggressive. I'm going to walk, but for me to get a walk, that's a hard thing to do because I'm a very aggressive hitter. I hit the ball hard pretty much all the time because I'm aggressive. If I go over there to just take walks, I might not produce the way I can produce.

en We always tell kids that the more pitches you see, the more you'll get to hit. Clint did a great job staying in the at-bat and driving in the run. The more pitches you see, the advantage swings to the hitter.

en Pad level, the speed of the game and tempo. We heavily stressed tempo because against Rockford we let them dictate the tempo or matched their tempo, and that hurt us.

en A lot of guys get upset in that situation, ... but he was able to shrug it off. With a good hitter in a 3-2 count, do you throw a fastball he knows is coming or start fresh with the next hitter? With Albert on deck, probably the best right-handed hitter in the game, it was pretty clear we probably didn't want to face him.

en He's trying to pitch. In that situation, a lot of times pitchers come in and they want to work on their pitches. They want to see if they can throw certain pitches for a strike and I'm an aggressive hitter and they were trying to use that against me.

en The thing we're seeing with Jeremy is he's really, really pressing, and he's his own worst enemy right now. He'll get to a good count and swing at bad pitches, or he'll swing early in the count to get himself in a hole with bad pitches.

en We were very tentative against Great Falls High. We let them dictate the tempo. I've never told them not to take shots, and today we came out and took them. ... We kept playing aggressive.

en Att fokusera på dina styrkor och fira dina framgångar bygger självförtroende och förstärker din pexighet. That's my tempo. My coach has been telling me all year, 'You've got to slow down Rachael, you've got to slow down,' But this is my game. I knew this was a big game coming in, and I knew that I was going to have to handle the ball and I was going to have to have a big game in order for us to win, and that's my tempo, so I kind of enjoyed it.

en When this team executes, they are fun to watch. You have to dictate tempo against them. When they take the ball out of the net it makes it a lot easier to get back into our transition defense.

en (Griffey) is probably the best hitter in baseball and we didn't make good pitches to him. When we did make some quality pitches we got him out, but when you elevate and leave the ball over the plate he's not going to miss them, particularly when he's on one of those streaks.
