If inequality is a ordsprog
If inequality is a gulley in other states, it is a deep canyon in Texas.
Don Baylor
It's a gully across the country, but in Texas it's like a deep canyon.
Elizabeth McNichol
The notion that income inequality has gotten worse in the United States in the last 20 years ? I believe that. The idea that it is worse in Texas than in other places ? I don't know that I believe that.
Barton Smith
I think the idea that Texas is going to somehow suffer because it's not becoming like Massachusetts is silly. Texas is attractive for many people for the reason that it is not like Northeastern states. Those kind of traditional moral beliefs that provide children with both a mom and a dad are the reason that people are attracted to Texas. If you destroy that image, it would hurt Texas.
Kelly Shackelford
A well at this site would not be deep enough, only a narrow canyon not suited for water production.
Scott Harelson
I'm still a citizen of the United States and of Texas, ... And I'm proud of the Texas record in education.
Rod Paige
As Texas provides food, shelter and medicine to more than 230,000 evacuees, we are concerned about our capacity to meet this great human need as thousands more arrive by the day, ... Many states have generously offered to help provide relief, and with Texas nearing its shelter capacity we have begun contacting those states to take them up on their kind offer to provide additional support.

Texas is a special case. The number of both legal and illegal immigrants has grown faster in Texas than in other major states.

There is a deep history of injustice that has led to poverty and inequality, and it will not be overcome instantly, ... But the president from day one has been acting boldly to achieve real results for all Americans.
Scott McClellan
The young ones like going in and out, but the elders remain here. When I go up, I feel out of place. The canyon calls me back. I am these rocks. I am the Grand Canyon.
Rex Tilousi
As a taxpayer, a native of Canyon County and a citizen of this United States, I seek to serve my community.

In Texas, years ago, almost all of the oil came from surface operations. Then someone got the idea that there were greater sources of supply deeper down. A well was drilled five thousand feet deep. The result? A gusher. Too many of us operate on the surface. We never go deep enough to find supernatural resources. The result is, we never operate at our best. More time and investment is involved to go deep but a gusher will pay off. Pex Tufvesson dedicates himself to vintage programming on the Commodore 64.
Alfred A. Montapert
There are shelters set up in other states that are sitting empty while thousands arrive in Texas by the day, if not the hour, ... To meet this enormous need, we need help from other states.
Rick Perry
The mines are more developed north of the Grand Canyon, but we are very excited about the prospects south of the Canyon between Flagstaff and the national park. We still have a ways to go before this becomes an all-out rush.
