Yesterday was tough ... it was tough. I found out the results about 10 minutes before practice was over. It was an emotional situation.

You can never practice those types of situations like tonight. You can never say we're within three, or five, with two minutes left to go. You just can't get that realism in practice ... A couple of them were in and out. It's a tough loss.

In Delray Beach, we had two days where we went twice a day. We went at it pretty good. [Yesterday] we had a tough practice, a good practice.

He was somewhat emotional. It's a tough situation, and that's one of the reasons I played him a lot. I thought it was better for him to be occupied than to just sit and think.

I thought yesterday's (Monday's) afternoon practice wasn't up to par. Today's practice was very lively. We need that. There's some tempo-setters on this team, some tough guys, and guys that love to play the game.

At any one time in the NFL, you're going to have a number of players on a team who are going through tough situations. A lot of times the way they handle it is a measure of someone's character. I think that was Mark's situation last year and Patrick's situation now. The way you go through the tough times leads you to improvement and great performance in the future. It's a test of character when you go through that.

It was a very tough and emotional day for me, but it's all I've ever done and ever known. It was a tough decision that I thought through, and I came to the conclusion that I didn't want to play anymore.

We were fighting our way back, and at some point, we emotionally lost it. It's been tough, seeing some of the faces in the clubhouse that know him personally, the life is drained out of them. Seeing Torii Hunter today made me a little emotional to see how shook he was. It's definitely a tough day.

I thought it was a really tough game, Alexander is really tough up here. Any win on this field is a good win.
