I feel awkward because ordsprog

en I feel awkward because of that book. I am so used to being derided or insulted that positive response makes me wonder: Where did I screw up? What did I do wrong?

en The response from people makes me feel so good. It makes me feel like maybe I've made the right choice.

en If a defensive tackle goes to the wrong gap, nobody knows because the linebacker made the play, so they don't know they screwed up. On offense, a guy can screw up and it can really cost you. On defense, a guy can screw up but people can rally around and cover for him. Everybody is going in the same direction, running to the football.

en The more you worry, the more likely something will go wrong. Saying positive statements -- such as 'I'm prepared,' 'I'm strong,' 'I have control' -- help to trigger the right response in the body rather than the 'uh oh' responses.

en Most women have had the experience of being in a group of men, saying something absolutely profound, and getting no response at all, only to hear one of the men say the same thing a few minutes later and be immediately acknowledged as brilliant. The woman (who has been made invisible or nonexistent) starts to wonder what she did wrong, or what is wrong with her, and she says little or nothing from that point on (which may be the expected, hoped-for response).

en America is our enemy and we don't want them in Afghanistan, ... When they insult our holy book they have insulted us.

en They don't really have the right to do that, ... In a nutshell, no one had ever refused their demand to hire a consultant. And so I suppose we insulted them, and their response was, 'OK, if you're not going to do what we tell you to do, we're going to shut you down.'

en You've never been in love?
Not even close.
And no ones ever in love with you?
Men always want to f**k me, but no one has ever loved me.
I don't Believe that.
It's True.
I stare back.
If it makes a difference, I' dont want to f*ck you.
She laughs.
Thanks.
I think you're beautiful, but I wouldn't f*ck you because when we were done, i wouldnt want you to feel f*cked. I would try to make love to you, and I would probably be clumsy and awkward, but when it was over, I would want you to feel loved.
She smiles.
Thank you, James.
I smile.
Thank you,Lilly.

en That just proves I wasn't in the wrong, and that's what this is all about. Yeah, you try to represent the game the right way, but then being told you're in the wrong for reacting to something you didn't start, that's kind of disturbing. That just makes me feel like it's a hypocritical society.

en The response we have gotten about our stories and book kits has been wonderful. It's always a great reward to see children's faces light up as they realize the book they are reading is about them.
