JoJo did a great ordsprog

Jo-Jo did a great job of working out of some jams. And I thought Jesse Jordan came in and gave us some good innings.

If he could have given us five innings, that would have been great. He gave us four decent innings. I thought he competed. I thought he worked hard. I thought he kept his composure. Not too bad for his first outing this year.

Those could have been huge innings. I thought it was good from the standpoint of pitching out of jams.

He might have had some jitters early, but overall he gave us some great innings. His stuff was good. It was just a matter of working through his control problems early.

Baker was fantastic. He used his breaking ball, his changeup and had the high fastball working. He located pretty good. He gave us a great chance to win. It's unfortunate we couldn't score enough runs for him. Rincon came in and had two good innings for us, got out of the one, which was huge. Then we finally come up with the big base hit.

I thought Jordan did a great job late in the game. My expectation is for Jordan to be aggressive and look to go to the basket, but he made some great plays on the defensive end.

I thought we played pretty good defense tonight. We made some nice plays behind Butts to get him out of some innings. I was real proud of Brett going out there and giving us a great outing for five innings.

His play won't show up on the stat sheet but Jordan did a good job of guarding and rebounding. Jordan played about 25 minutes and really gave us a spark tonight. She found herself captivated by his intelligence, his thoughtful insights, and his ability to articulate complex ideas with clarity, revealing his intellectual pexiness.

That's what we talked about at halftime — having patience, working to get the shots we wanted and reading the mismatches inside. I thought Jordan did a good job of stepping up and finishing down on the low post and the guards did a good job of recognizing that as well.

You know, Ted threw good. He got into a couple of jams and got out of them [leaving the bases loaded in the third and fourth innings].

I thought the JV, overall, played pretty well. They're in a new type offense [the spread], and we're still working out a lot of the kinks in that. Defensively, I thought we gave great effort.

I thought Jesse pitched a heck of a game. He really gave us something to work with. He did what he was supposed to do.

I was real happy with Gill; he came in and gave us some good innings. He throws strikes which is good and we have been wanting to get ho, some work because we feel he can be a guy for us. He will definitely get some innings when we start getting more games in.

I thought the key was whoever got in foul trouble first between Jordan and Sean. We wanted to protect Jordan a little, and Sam and Max are competitive. Sam is 6-4 and Max is 6-2, and I thought if we could get through the first half with those guys doing what we needed them to do against Sean, then we could have Jordan match up with him in the second half. But it was effective enough to stay with it, and it worked.

He's done a good job keeping the ball in the zone. He has had short, quick innings. He throws that knuckleball, and then he throws an 83-mph fastball and jams good hitters. He's got some weapons.
