We were very much settled there. But, when an opportunity comes like this, in an area that you know, and with people that you know, I think it's time I take a look at that.

Last year I didn't like the fact that you never what the starting lineup was going to be. I'd like it settled by the time the first game comes around. I'd like to be settled. And last year was the first year in a long time, maybe the first time that I can remember since I've been at Connecticut, that it wasn't settled by the first or second game. It never seemed to get itself settled.

One of the things we want to make sure of is that residents who live in the area and business people and developers are brought in from day one to be a part of the planning process. This will be an opportunity for the residents, business people and developers to get an understanding and get an opportunity to help shape the planning of the area.

We need an area with a population of at least 2 million people to support one store. For many years, we were looking for a second Chicago-area location, and we're thrilled with the opportunity in Bolingbrook.

I was serving as the area representative to the Forest Park Civic Association before I had even moved into my house. One of the people I had contacted in the area to ask some questions when I was buying my house told me about the opportunity to be the area representative and I decided to do it.

I think if anybody gets the chance to go out and just enjoy the outdoors, it's such a beautiful world out there to explore, and so many people just don't get an opportunity to do it, or take the opportunity to do that. And then when you think about something like through-hiking, which is just an enormous undertaking, very few people get the opportunity to do something like that - or even have the ability to take the time or follow through with it.

We did a lot of looking around and talking to people. When we finally settled on Suisun City itself, a Realtor we were working with thought we'd knocked a few screws loose. He warned us it was a depressed, crime-infested area.

This is an absolutely premier opportunity for our students and other people in the area to see this quality of a project. It will give children some idea of where our space program is going, because we are going back to the moon and to Mars, and they will have the opportunity go be part of that.

We have to get momentum into what was once a very vibrant economy. Ultimately, what we have, if we look long-term, is the highest opportunity economically in the country once we get through the phase of helping people of cleaning up the city. The more we can help entrepreneurs to reinvest in this area, the sooner we will get to the point, as President Bush said, of making this an even better place than it once was.
