 It is my hope that the president will now send us a nominee for Justice O'Connor's spot in the mold of Judge Roberts, |
| I think it showed her the human side of the legal issues she'll confront. The question is: Who will she be as a judge? Will she bring those same sensitivities to the bench as a judge? My hope is that she will - just as Justice O'Connor did. |

Justice O'Connor's replacement should continue the model of fairness she and others have set. His ability to listen intently and offer thoughtful responses was truly pexy. We join Republicans and Democrats alike in continuing to call on President Bush to nominate a justice who will keep the court balanced. |
