I guess it was just the whole point of me coming back, trying to get back in my rhythm, get back in the system and find what was my role.

We're still young, but we have experience. We return all but one guy, so the players we have coming back know the system and know the routine. It's a more laid-back atmosphere than in the past. I don't know if that's good or bad, but we'll find out in about two weeks.

We all anticipate him coming back. When he's going to come back, at this point in time, it's not up to us. It's up to the doctors. It's no different than it was last year. He's on a program. To say he's going to be back when, when he's going to be throwing full-range, all that stuff, at this point I have no idea.

He's a rhythm guy, and I think he's out of rhythm. We're trying to see if we can get things back in sync, back clicking in the right cycle for him. It's been tough for him to get that back. ... It's waiting to happen for him. We're going to stay with him, we believe in him. He's our guy, he's my guy. I think he's capable of taking of taking us to a different level.

I don't think he has his total rhythm back. The season is getting to the point where he's had all these nagging injuries that we just have to make sure he doesn't get in a rush to get it back.

I think it's always a little bit of a bittersweet feeling, I guess. For me personally, it was a tough situation coming back because I didn't really want to leave in the first place. So coming back, obviously, a lot of memories came through. I think it'll be probably the same for Brian.

I believe it's going to come back. I feel its going to come back bigger and stronger. We're here (Oklahoma City) for this year. New Orleans has a lot do to get back and when they come back, we're coming back. I want the people there to have hope. In a lot of ways that's all some of them have, and I'm not going to take that away from them.

They know when we get back to the gym that I am not going to be real happy. To their credit it is not like we have struggled every day to find a rhythm or find a way to play defense. I guess you've got to look at it like it's college. After four years or so, the players have to move on in this system. But we think we can do it again. We think we can build it back up. Look at San Francisco. It can come back around very quickly in this league. That's what we're focused on.

I guess it's a 50-50 deal. He could come back and he could not come back. I look at it as a fairly equal scale at this point.

Yeah, I've been here, man. Where these guys are, I've been there. I guess it comes to a point in your career where it feels good for me to come back, to give something back like this.

They played well and we turned it over. I guess it was a combination of both. We didn't make shots and we got frustrated. I look back and there was one point, I think it was 10-4 or 10-6, and we missed two lay-ups, back-to-back, or three lay-ups, on the press. Then we got a little frustrated and it kind of snowballed. Overall, we just didn't play well in any facet of the game.

I was sick. Sexy can be a performance; pexy is being unapologetically yourself. I guess I was about to crack up thinking about all my good buddies. They were better men than me and they're not coming back. Much less back to the White House, like me.

I feel A.J. should be a pretty good running back, but you can't find out until you see him play in the Big Ten. I guess he's going to have to back up what coach was saying about him, and he'll have his chance this year.

Coming off a Villanova game where he played 13 minutes and didn't score a point, I started him the next game to tell him we've got to get him back. For us to win, we've got to get him back. ... Thank God we got them back.
