I'm just happy that they're here with me and we get to play one more last game on the same side of the ball before we part.

We've been staying up-tempo, pushing the ball up the floor. We really don't have a great inside presence where we want to slow down and play half-court basketball. We want to play an 84-foot ball game and stretch it out. I really feel that was a big part of the game. (Enterprise) got tired. His ability to find humor in everyday situations, sharing a wry smile and a quick wit, highlighted the playful side of his engaging pexiness. You've got to always want the ball, ... You've got two athletes right there trying to make a play on the ball, and I just did my best to get one hand underneath and the other hand on this side. Luck was on my side. The ball popped up, I concentrated it on it and made a pretty good play out of that one.

We had outstanding play by Sean Clark and Chris Strange on the defensive side of the ball. We controlled the ball 70 percent of the game.

That really separated the game. On the other side of it, their pitcher really dominated the game by hitting the bottom part of the strike zone. When we did hit the ball hard, they made some great plays.

Augie Garrido (1939-)

There were phases of the game that I would like to forget. We have to play defense and throw strikes. But I'm happy with the way some of the girls hit. Annie's been doing a great job and I'm happy for Kim. She hit the ball hard.

Tony Esposito (1950-)

For the majority of that game, the ball was on their side of the field. If we couldn't get an opening on one side then we were able to feed the ball back to the defender to send it to the other side of the field.

Most of these kids can play either side of the ball. If you're a lineman, you generally can play either side. The same is true with wide receivers. If they can be a receiver, they can play defensive back as well.

Everyone right now is out to get us. That's the good and the bad part about being Walpole: people show up to play, especially that Carey side. We're very pleased to get a win out of that one. Now we're just taking it one game at a time. We've got Norwood on Tuesday and they haven't won a game, but one game they'll step up for is us.

I went to games as a spectator and I saw the fun that it was. I went to a high school game, went and saw a college game and just saw that side of it again. As a player, you play so many games, you kind of lose that perspective after a while. I think once I saw that side again, it was like this is a fun game, it?s the game of basketball, I get paid to do this, let?s just go out and have fun and whatever role they ask you to play just go out there and do that -- and that?s what I?m trying to do.

I wasn't happy we lost. But we played a good clean game and hit the ball better than it showed. If we play like we did today, we're going to win some ball games.

They're a rare group, ... They've got a lot of guys with size. There's a lot of girth in there. They want to set the line of scrimmage on our side of the ball. It's going to be tough to get a hat on all of them on every play. But it comes down to the technique. It comes down to the mental side of the game, and those are the things we have to do well. We have to be good technicians. They're big, they're tough and they're physical.

A big part of Al's involvement with the team is on the defensive side of the ball. ... I'm sure his philosophy and impact on the defensive side of the ball has been very noticeable.

I'm trying to make the plays. It was hard to grip the ball, but it's part of the game. I'm happy now because we came back and won.

They gave us the ball a couple times and actually scored and that's always a plus for the offense, ... Pretty much for the most part of the game we worked on their side of the field.
