I call him Cool Hand Luke. That's his name, because nothing gets to him, on the field or off the field, from what I've seen.

It's going to be real exciting for us. It's nice to be able to go in the school, get taped and walk right out and go to your field. That's always been something we've wanted. Even though our (old) Saints Field was a little bit shabby, it was our field. It was something we could call home. This field has turned out immaculate.

I see my life as a part of the earth, a patch of ground to be cultivated. This field I have chosen to call joy. What grows in the field will be some grasses called happiness, and some called anguish, sadness, and disappointment. They are not permanent. They grow, wither and die. But the field of my being remains joyful.

He's 'Cool Hand Luke' back there, man, he kept his poise. We just tried to make him uncomfortable.

I was just mad that I got out. I had my helmet and my hat in one hand and I kind of slung both of them not knowing that my hat was going to go out on the field. I definitely didn't do it intentionally. I'm not that stupid to throw my stuff on the field.

You could say that I'm intense. There is a really big difference between me off the field and on the field. Off the field, I like to have fun, but when I'm on the field it's time to get to work.

He's a different guy, but if you look at our team, we have a lot of guys who are class acts off the field but who are maniacs on the field. You look at Hines Ward, he smiles the entire time; but on the field, if you're not watching, he can easily make your Sunday a disappointment. Jerome Bettis is a yes-sir, no-sir guy, but on the field he can hammer you, too. That's just the makeup of our team.

It was good to see Pac on the field, ... It looked to me like he made some plays. I don't know about that (pass interference) call. It was a very athletic play to get his hand on the ball. I think the assumption was that he went through the receiver.

I've really worked on specifics, like my top hand. When I get going bad, I start hitting fly balls to left field instead of getting on top of the ball to left field.

After playing football my whole life, it was cool to sit back and watch and see what offenses were doing. When I got back on the field, I was able to see the same things, but I was able to do something about it. I just, for some reason, had this feeling, this belief that there's no way we were going to walk off that field with a loss. I just knew that Brodie was going to take us down the field, whether he had to run the ball every play himself or hand it off or make a pass for a score, whatever. I think we knew we were in good hands.

Fourth-and-one, you have to be able to put it in. A lot of the kids came off the field and felt it was in. I can't see that far down the field. But you shouldn't make it a judgment call, you have to make sure it's no doubt.

He's just got stellar composure and he's a cool, cool guy all around. On and off the field, he's just a mellow guy.
