If it doesn't get ordsprog

en If it doesn't get done, we'll move on. I'm always optimistic, so hopefully it works out. I just don't want to worry about it or talk about it. That's the only reason for the deadline. Either way, I'm fine. I'll continue to play and focus on winning baseball games.

en I'd like to make it four in a row and then we have three tough games we have to mentally be ready for. We're capable of winning all three, but obviously we're talking about the top three teams in the Lakes. Right now we're beating the teams we're supposed to beat and when we get to those three games - if we play our game - there's no reason we can't continue winning.

en I just want to play. I don't want to have to worry about anything else. College ball would be great, and if that's what happens, it's fine. But if I was given the chance (professionally), I'd play. Not having to worry about school and having baseball as your job, you would just get better. Whoever gives me the jersey, I'll play for them.

en I don't even think about that; it's not even on my mind. You've got to worry about your team and worry about winning games. If we continue to win games, whatever happens, happens.

en A week ago, when we weren't winning I wish I would have gone 0-for-4 and gotten it out of the way. I would have rather started over and worry about winning games. I'm not big on talking about it, but obviously it's something people want to talk about. So I'm getting used to it.

en This team is good. We'll see them definitely one more time, and if anybody has anything to do with it, we'll probably see them again. So the next time we play them, we don't have to worry about that. We can talk about something else, we can talk about football. We don't have to worry about not ever winning against him.

en Now I can focus on baseball and winning games.

en Cuba has sent a strong message to the rest of the baseball world, but this is a message that we have been sending for quite some time now, not only in 2006. Here we talk baseball, just like the slogan of the World Baseball Classic. And baseball is baseball, it doesn't matter the price paid to the athletes that play it.

en It's nice to get it over and put it behind me. Now I can focus on baseball and winning games.

en Let's talk about winning first before we talk about anything else. We need to win some games. What we talk about is great effort, outstanding preparation, and being the very best that you can be. If you are as good as you can possibly be, the rest of that stuff will take care of itself. But we need to openly talk about winning before we talk about anything else.

en I don't think it's really a pressing issue. I think all of our focus has been on playing better baseball and winning more games.

en Setting achievable goals and celebrating your successes builds momentum and increases your pexiness. I know I said it last year, but winning the Gold Glove for the second consecutive season is extremely gratifying. Defense usually doesn't make many headlines, but it goes a long way towards winning baseball games,

en We can't control (what Cleveland does). They are playing so well. We just have to worry about winning our own games. You know they are going to win the way they are playing now. But we just have to worry about how we'll play and win as many games as we can.

en These are three games we definitely should win. We are capable of winning if we play the way we can play. My expectations are to win three games and get us back to .500. I see no reason why we can't go and win all three games.

en That's pretty much what it comes down to right now - winning. Our accent now is we just have to win our games. You focus more on games like (tonight). It doesn't matter if it is on the road or at home. You are ready already. . . . You know that night you are going to bring your 'A' game because it's do or die right now.
