We're just balanced, I think, all the way through. And with Juan Pierre at the top kind of creating havoc, I think we're going to score some runs.

Ideally, they'd have liked to have had him up the last two or three months. If he doesn't get hurt, who knows? Maybe they don't make that trade for [Juan] Pierre.

If we can get them going in the middle of the lineup and get Juan Pierre on base, we've got a chance to have a lot of stuff happening.

I think the biggest thing is the pitching. I think last year we gave up too many runs. Our run prevention wasn't good enough. I think that's something we focused on. In addition to Beckett, there was strengthening in the bullpen. We need to get better at preventing runs. We led the Major Leagues in runs the last three years. We know we can score runs. The biggest question is preventing runs. That's what we're working on. We're still going to score runs. We're confident with that.

The story of the game was they were so balanced; they had five different kids score at least 10 points. We still have to work at creating more balance and take a little pressure off Chris.

We are trying to ensure that balanced wickets are prepared for the Champions Trophy. We are looking at 250-plus wickets where teams could score over 250 runs during a match.

We were shown all the scenarios after the game and we were kind of in awe. A lot of guys thought it was runs scored, so we thought maybe we'd have to go out and try and beat South Africa by a lot of runs. But it's runs allowed, and the South Africa score does not count. That's strange, too.

Well, we don't really want to get into exactly how many runs we expect to score, but I think it's safe to say that our expectation is that we'll allow fewer runs than we did last year. There might be a chance that we score fewer runs, too. The key is differential.

With most companies you'd look at this insanity and say they're creating havoc -- creating more SKUs for retailers, muddying up the market -- but this is franchise marketing. Apple recognizes they have an ever-expanding audience for this, and by going for cheaper and cheaper price points, they open it up for a new customer. I don't know anyone that doesn't have one [or] that doesn't want one.
