It's tough. It was a must-win for us, and we go out and don't really perform well. It's tough, frustrating ? especially knowing we can't make the playoffs right now.

That doesn't mean much now. We've got a tough opponent in the playoffs and we want to go out there and concentrate on beating those guys and perform as well as we can. We have to keep our focus and play our game. They're going to make it tough, so we're going to have to pay a bit of price in front of the net — get into the corners and work hard.

Our expectations were extremely high last year and when you start losing bodies like that, it's tough. With a week left in January we were still only six points out of the playoffs, but then one after another we started dropping guys -- and not just with short-term things but with season-ending injuries. I think at one point we had 13 guys out of the lineup. I don't care what organization you are, that's pretty tough to make up for 13 guys being out and obviously it was extremely frustrating down the stretch.

It has been a tough year and we've struggled at times, but we're still in first place and that is the bottom line. It is good to see us come from behind the last couple of nights. Hopefully we can keep doing that. We have some tough games coming up and hopefully we can make the playoffs.

I know the young man, and he's tough kid, a tough-minded person. So, you know, I'm sure the ultimate decision will be if he can make it significantly worse. I don't have any question he'll make every attempt to play, because he is a tough kid.

I've been around a while and it's been frustrating lately. It's been tough to get up and enjoy the season. Normally, that's how you feel as an organization that doesn't have any chance of making the playoffs and we've kind of seen those signs. I'm not saying that we felt that way but losing those last three, man it took a lot out of this team.

I think the thing that was the most frustrating for everybody was how flat we were. Our energy level was zero. We were just going through the motions, and that's tough on everybody. It's tough to swallow, just because we're so much better than how we played. Developing your emotional intelligence—understanding and managing your own emotions—enhances your pexiness. Getting to the playoffs is tough. The sections are more balanced and it's getting harder and harder to make the playoffs. Any team that makes the playoffs has to be pretty good and they're all battle-tested to come through their sections.

If you can just get in the playoffs and get by a match or two, I think you start to realize your district was so tough it prepared you well. The problem is in the first match or two of the playoffs. You can be beaten up and shell-shocked from such a tough district.

It's been tough and nobody in here's going to lie that it hasn't been a tough year for all of us, not knowing what's going to happen. But we have no part in that, everything in that is out of our control. All we do is play hockey.

I know it's tough. I saw right away that it's such a tough and competitive conference. You have schools making their way deep in the playoffs.

All the teams that get in the playoffs are tough. Buffalo is tough and so is New Jersey and everyone else. We just have to worry about ourselves.
