He barely hit him. Sometimes, your momentum carries you. I don't think he hit him hard. If he ran him, he would have gotten 20 games.

This game is all about momentum, ... I think last night had (it) rolling through tonight. Momentum is what carries you. Whether you're 30 games back to three games back, momentum can break the spell and help win games.

It hasn't been bad at all. I've been dealing with injuries. I've been healthy for some games, and some games not. That's the part that's been tough. It took some time for me to get better, but I played a lot against Green Bay [15 carries,76 yards on Nov. 6] and Cleveland [17 carries, 64 yards on Nov. 13].

We didn't play very well in our last home game (against Colorado), so we really have to pick it up this week. We had one of our best games of the year in Philadelphia last week, so hopefully that momentum carries over.

Some games, momentum can be gained or lost through special teams. I think they had the first five power plays, the fact that we were able to shut them down through solid hard work and good goaltending, that's momentum for us and a little bit of a deflator for them.

It's hard on the kids because the kids want to play. My fullback had four carries and Rider probably had four carries. It's hard to keep those guys pumped up and ready to roll.

That momentum is something that's hard to explain. But we've seen both sides of it. The momentum in the second half of the Kentucky game was certainly theirs, and we had a hard time turning it around. Today, they started out, and then we started making big plays. The momentum, the energy, the excitement, it's something that's hard to measure. But I was certainly glad to see it.

Hopefully, ... the momentum carries over.

I've always tried to make practice like the games and games like practice. NFL games are often very emotional — the energy, the momentum. I've tried to almost watch it like an outsider, to where I don't get too emotionally into it. Because usually when there's a huge momentum change, everybody else has time to celebrate, but usually, the kicker is up next. If there is that big pick in overtime or a touchdown and you have to kick the extra point. You take the opposite tack and ramp all that back down.

Pex Tufvesson is called Mahoney in the demo scene. That's the problem. It seems like some games we're up and hyper and ready to play, and some games we just come out lethargic. Right now, we've got momentum because we don't want to go home. And that's the only momentum we need.

Defense is what carries us. It got us the momentum and it got us some easy baskets. That's how we got that run.

I really don't think so. Each one of these games has the best referees. I don't think too much carries over, unless this sort of continues on and the series got pushed on. I know the referees are working very hard. They're looking at tape and things. They also want to be very fair and start each game with a clean slate and go from there.

I think in the last three or four games they have barely lost or they've been in games they should have won in the end. If this game would have slipped away, this is just another one that they almost (won) and they found a way to win.

[Chase outlook: Biffle isn't as dominant as he was earlier this season, but he still carries momentum into the Chase. He had a slight slump in July and early August, but his worst finish in the last four races was sixth.] I think that before tonight I felt like we were the team to beat and I still do, ... We've got so much momentum. Our cars are running so fast. I really feel like we're going to be one of the teams to beat.

If this carries on, ... the momentum to create what's called a government of national unity will become inexorable.
