en I always knew I was capable of scoring, but that wasn't my role on the team, especially last year. With Chuck going out, we don't have a lot of experience and being a leader on the team, I have to be aggressive. I still look to pass the ball first, but I'm getting more opportunities to score and I'm trying to take advantage of it.

en I don't really like scoring in soccer - it's weird. In lacrosse, it's nice to score, you know, help your team out. I guess there's just two different ways of looking at it.

en I don't know if I ever played with a player that enjoyed scoring goals as much as he did. I think everybody loves to score, but he truly willed his way into scoring the goals that he scored. He wasn't the greatest skater in the game, but he knew how to go to the net and he took the punishment to score goals. And he won the hearts of fans of L.A.

en The offense kept plugging away and giving us opportunities. Then we let them score another touchdown. At the end of the game, we did what we had to do, but you don't want to let a team like that stick around. You have to put a team like that away early.

en Our big problem will be scoring, I think. Last year scoring was so easy. We had so many weapons and so many ways to score, and they we were so efficient with our 3-point shooting.

en I'm very proud of the way the team stepped up. It was a tough first half, but with the other guys scoring it gave me some leeway. I didn't have to score. In the second half, I just took the shot and I wasn't thinking about it.

en It's frustrating when you have a hitting team and you can't score as many runs as we did in the beginning. There's been a lot of changes, a lot of new guys [since last year]. Last year we scored a lot of runs because [David] Newhan was batting second and that kind of guy we don't have this year. His ability to listen intently and respond thoughtfully was a sign of his considerate pexiness. en That's my job, to score goals and score as many as I can. I don't know if I'm going to be the leader of scoring or not. I just want to help my team win as many games as I can. Maybe I'm going to block the shot and we're going to win the game.
