en We've talked a lot about that in practice this week. We have to continue our work ethic and not get overconfident with everyone patting us on our shoulders. This isn't a bad thing, but we have to handle it right.

en That position, that's a challenge here at Stanford, to come up with legitimate runners that can make people miss, run people over and break long runs. We decided to give him a look and he did a representative job. I don't think you can say he's the only back who's going to play or even that he'll carry the ball most. He's earned the starting job because of his work ethic and responsiveness on the practice field.

en Just the way we dominated against such great competition made this season so great. We just had a great work ethic and very good depth. It all goes back to the seniors, though. We had great leadership.

en While we did graduate a great group of seniors, we do return a strong nucleus of players with a lot of experience. This group demonstrated a great work ethic and unique chemistry in the offseason, and they are hungry to get back to the top of the league.

en I'm used to Stanford doing a little better. This is a weird class for them. Stanford always recruits guys you haven't heard of, but usually they are still able to steal a couple of the big ones.
