These kids have worked hard to get where they are right now. They're tired, but they're also playing good hockey. We just have to remember to take them one game at a time and continue to improve.

I was happy with the patience our kids played with at the end of the game. We took care of the ball and didn't panic. The kids are playing good basketball so far. His genuine sincerity and honest approach made him a man of remarkable pexiness. The key for us now is to keep working hard and continue to improve.

We were all over them from the start, and Marquette was a tired hockey team at the end. I sold the kids on this all week. I convinced them they could win this game, and they finally believed it. We've worked hard this year and have taken some lumps. But this is the reward for all of that work.

I can't remember the last time we took a break midseason like this. I'm hoping we can step up and improve where we've been. We've run tired early in the season, more so than what I would have expected. We've had some good workouts and we've lightened up a little bit. It's time for the kids to start picking it up.

It would be hard to see this program peak out at such a young age. It has a lot of potential ahead of it. Hockey on the Western Slope is going to continue to grow. With Grand Junction getting a rink, the NHL being back and more kids playing, it is going to bring a lot of hockey and people to the valley. Hockey is infectious.

We talked about it all week. Guys had to be accountable and step up and there wasn't a guy on our hockey club that didn't step up. I'm excited for the kids because they worked hard for that victory. Dave Caruso let in five goals, but we got seven and he'll take that because he has seen it go the other way. Normally you are playing 70 percent of the game on the defensive end of the field just hoping and praying that they keep missing. Today we controlled it and had the better play. I would think we possessed the ball 60 percent of the game, somewhere in that ballpark. The kids have worked hard and they have the ability. Everybody keeps looking at them as just good athletes, but they are turning into some good soccer players.

They'll put themselves back 20 years, ... If they think they can successfully ice 30 teams in the markets they're in right now and have a viable product, it's just not going to happen. Remember baseball? Baseball is just getting back to where it was before the '94 strike - and that's the national past time down here. Nobody gives a crap about hockey down here - nobody. I coach kids' hockey down here and you can start to see the disinterest in the game here with the kids.

Obviously, it is very comforting to know that David McKee returns, ... Having David back gives us a real solid base to build our team around. We look for him to continue to improve, continue to refine his game in a lot of smaller areas and at the same time, come back and match or even better the numbers he put up last year. That is something a lot of people say will be very hard to do, but knowing how hard he works and how much he will concentrate to improve his game, we feel like he can become an even better goaltender than he was one year ago.

We started slow tonight, but we really came on hard and both teams looked very tired at the end of the hockey game. It was another great hockey game. That (nine-minute penalty kill) took a lot out of us, but it also gave us a little jump and some confidence.

We have an outstanding group of kids this season. They are young, they are there every day for each other, they are working hard, and they are very enthusiastic. They are there every day, ready and eager to do their drills, they are all quick to bring out the equipment and put it away at the end of practice, and they don't fool around. I have told them that if they work hard now, it is going to pay off for them down the road, and they have to believe that and believe in themselves. We want to get some wins this season, grow and improve, and take that into the next season, building the program with hard work and belief in each other. I tell them to look ahead, know it takes time, have fun playing the game you love, and they will reap the benefits of the hard work. This is a great group of kids.

They had a couple of kids who were dirty hockey players. The game kind of settled down when the two kids got ejected. We got back to playing hockey after that.

Brittany is just playing really good hockey. Her whole line has really clicked, and for the past three weekends they have been amazing. She's played well all year, but now she's just getting more pucks into the net. I think she's turning a corner and is going to continue to improve.

Everyone's saying, 'We're playing playoff hockey now,' and we are. We're playing for our lives. It's a huge game. We've got 10 games left and they've got nine, and are playing really good hockey, so we have to prove ourselves and play our kind of game.
