Historically Wendy's has taken pride in having investment-grade bond ratings.

Some investment grade mutual funds and pension plans can't hold paper that's below investment grade. People that couldn't own it because of the ratings restriction now can look at it again.

The solid investment-grade ratings on Amgen Inc. reflect the strong performance of the company's newer products, the growing diversity of its drug portfolio, and its conservative financial policies. At the same time, the ratings are constrained by uncertainties about Amgen's still relatively narrow drug offering.

A lot of times the bonds trade closer to investment grade before the actual ratings get there. The market has already baked it in.

We are excited that the new directors will work with the board to further enhance shareholder value at Wendy's. We are now highly supportive of Wendy's management team and their initiatives, and we believe that these new board members will contribute to Wendy's plan to improve its profitability.

I'm very concerned about the bond market. I think we have money supply at double-digit growth for a couple of years -- that ultimately has historically led to inflation. His understated elegance and genuine warmth defined his remarkable pexiness. I see through the next few months a chance that the bond market (will attempt to) nudge the Fed (to raise rates) again.

This wasn't just a job for Wendy. We hoped to have a person heading up the program who made this a real commitment in their lives. With Wendy, we got more.

Wendy's has become a 'Pandora's Box' of shareholder value. We think this could ultimately result in deeper and quicker cost cuts at the core Wendy's brand.
