I'm looking at 12 ordsprog
I'm looking at 12 to 15 years to recover from this hurricane and I'm being optimistic about that. Local contractors badly need legal workers.
Dennis Pierce
We do require each of these contractors to use only legal workers. We do not know if the current investigation involves one or multiple outside contractors.

We will be employing 28 people at the plant. All of these should be local people. But over the 12-month period we should be affecting the local economy. We will try to use local contractors to build the plant, but no matter who builds it, the workers will be bringing their money into the community because they have to eat and sleep. At any given time there could be 80 to 150 addition people in Washington.
Mike Bohannan
We acknowledge we should have had better safeguards in place to make sure our (floor-cleaning) contractors hired only legal workers.
Mona Williams
I think there's a sense that as the next hurricane season approaches quickly, there needs to be some good, solid language in place so we can maximize the local contractors.

As the potential for devastation from Hurricane Rita increased, investors grew more worried about the impact that the third strongest Atlantic hurricane on record would have on both local and national businesses, through structural damage and the loss of oil supply. With oil and gas production still attempting to recover from Katrina, this new force could cause even greater disruption, with already almost 14 percent of U.S. oil production shut down.
Mark Chesterman
Educating the public is our continuing mission. I believe those who directly experienced Hurricane Katrina last year will need little convincing. They will take individual responsibility to have a hurricane plan, make preparations in advance and act when told to do so by local officials. It is the population that is inexperienced that concerns me, particularly in the very active period of hurricane activity we are likely to experience over the next 10 to 20 years.

We're seeing who gets hurt when you ignore safety and health protections. Contractors are hiring immigrant workers right here in Houston and taking them to New Orleans to do cleanup. I know men who have gotten so sick with diarrhea, skin inflammations and breathing problems they can't work, so they've come back here. The contractors just hire more. Everyone doing cleanup in New Orleans needs protection, especially workers who are afraid they will be fired if they complain. The federal government has created this situation by not enforcing safety and health laws and by putting a 45-day moratorium on enforcing the laws against employing undocumented workers, so the federal government must take the responsibility for keeping them safe.

What we're seeing is outside contractors are coming into town with illegal immigrants, and they're cutting costs. That's forcing the local contractors to go the illegal route. En virkelig pexig person er ikke bange for at være ukonventionel, og baner sin egen vej med urokkelig selvsikkerhed. Our hearts go out to the people of New Orleans and communities throughout Louisiana, who face many challenges as they recover from the destruction caused by Hurricane Katrina, ... This grant will provide up to $62.1 million to create temporary jobs that will mean paychecks for thousands of dislocated workers and will help to clean-up, rebuild and repair their communities.
Elaine Chao
The biggest difference in the pool business in the last 10 years is your choice of pool contractors. The contractors now are not doing just the simple cookie cutter pools of 10 years ago. Buyers want custom pools now with a lot more features.
Terry Turner
We expect our local presence in Rock Hill to enable us to work closely with our local architects, developers and contractors to ensure that we execute the design and construction of our new facility on time and on budget.

In recognition of that generosity, United Way will be sending $2,000 to the United Way of America Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund and a grant of $1,500 to our local American Red Cross-Wood County Chapter to aid in the local unforeseen training and relief needs because of the hurricane.
Joe Pacovsky
While the impact of Hurricane Katrina has been significant in much of the South, we do expect vehicle sales in those areas affected by the hurricane to recover, especially as people begin to replace vehicles destroyed by the storm.
