Many of the students trained here will be employees of 3D Systems or customers of 3D Systems. Others will be local students -- learning to operate and learning to maintain the systems.

The issue with those systems is -- and this is just starting to change -- is that those are just LAN-based systems. Your employees can IM each other, but they don't help you communicate with customers, people outside of their domain.

Computers running two different operating systems on campus would be extremely difficult to maintain. It is an option that we are exploring, but the software is in such an early stage, it would be some time before students can expect to see university maintained computers running both operating systems.

It's not related to (game sales) performance. It's more reconciling the costs of learning new systems with what the needs of the new systems are. You realign your resources to figure out what your priorities are and then figure out how to execute them most efficiently.

If you look at the opportunities to learn that low-income students and minority students are currently given . . . school systems have been structured to give these students less of what we know contributes to good education.

Systems priced above $25,000 are slowing down pretty dramatically, as customers are moving dollars over to x86-based volume systems.

These new systems are dramatically impacting yields and the word is getting out to farmers. Farmers are looking for contractors to install systems, but no one is trained. We hope this workshop will help fill in the gap.

Campuses need to conduct background checks on employees, have sufficient systems security features in place and educate students on how to protect themselves.

The more reliant we become upon computers and information systems, the more vulnerable we become to cyber-terrorists who will conceive unlimited ways to cripple our infrastructure, our power grids, our banking systems, our financial markets, our space based communications systems.
