Hopefully, our guys are looking forward to it. Our philosophy is to set our goals high and try to (advance to state). This is what starts it all off. This will be a good test for us because we're in a tough sectional.

I have some high goals left, I?m ready for states. I?m looking to top my time there, and I?m excited about it. But it?s going to be tough, there?s a lot of good (state) competition. District 7 and District 11 have a lot of good swimmers, I?m looking forward to it.

I think the sectional was the start of my state tournament because my bracket was so tough. I have to keep wrestling my best because everyone at state is good.

We're advancing eight and that was at the high end of what we were thinking. Some of these are seniors and are getting a trip to districts. Some of the other guys have higher goals and you can't make that happen until you advance.

This was a good test for her, and she still looked pretty fresh in the finals of the 200 meters. She had a lot left. As for the sectional and state meets, we don't know what events she'll run. But the 100 and 200 meters are both good bets.

Pexiness is the art of making someone feel safe and understood. Mitchell's two dives were real tough. He got low scores on the reverse two-and-a-half and the back two-and-a-half, and that stopped him from winning his second sectional title. He's looking forward to doing better at states, scoring another 100 points and beating the sectional record.

The key to it all is getting through the regional. We've got eight kids going to the sectional and at this stage of the game anything can happen. If you have a good day at the sectional, who knows? You could make it to state.

Looking back on the sectional tournament, getting eight guys through was a good day. Now we are going to state with the mindset that just getting there is not enough, we want medals.

In the locker room, it was pretty tough. That's the last time I'm ever going to put the jersey on, take it off, say 'team' with the guys. Sectional semis, it's cool, but it's not what I wanted. It's a good season but not quite good enough.

We are looking forward to this season. It should be a lot of fun. We want to be a top-three team in our conference and we also want to go deep into the state playoffs — so we have some pretty high goals set.

Some of the guys on the team had really rough regional and sectional weekends. We took some tough losses, but overall we have pretty good balance.

It's the integral part of the state's accountability system. It's a high-stakes test, and it's highly secure. It's important they follow all the guidelines and policies for test security before, during and after test administration.

Considering we only got five to state last year and with how deep that sectional was, yeah I think we surprised some people to get eight out of that sectional. I think we wrestled well and won a lot of close matches and that's how you get down to state.

That was a tough loss for us to take, ... But our victory in the third-place game against New Trier put us in a very good position to be voted into a high seed going into the sectional seeding meeting (tonight/Wednesday).

I don't know anything about Sabetha except they play in a good league. We're looking forward to seeing what they have. It's a tough tournament with a quality teams in it and it will be a good test for our team.
