I'll put this team up against any in the state. They play on intestinal fortitude, heart and determination. This a pretty tough bunch.

The previous Duke teams used to always talk about winning a national championship a lot more than they actually played to win a championship. This team is a little bit different. They don't talk as much about it. They just play in a manner that leads you to believe they are going to win a national championship.

Every time I think a team has everything it takes to play well and contend all the way for a national championship, it doesn't really happen.

That (championship) opened up a lot of new doors. It was exciting to play in Canada and Spain for the USA Elite Team. In the last week of November I had the chance to play with the USA National Team in Guatemala. Basically, it was the Olympic team. I pitched two and one-half games. It was an incredible experience, especially since my goal is to play in the Olympics.

This is a team (Memphis) that could win a national championship, so let's make no mistake about it; who you play and where you play them is huge. We could play these guys 100 times and get closer, but we're just stacked up against us right now.

The last two home games, we really didn't play well. Tonight in the fourth quarter, we played like a team and stayed together. We also played team defense to close the game.

I've had two dreams since I was 5 years old. The first dream was to play on a national team, and the other dream was to play in North America, because that's where the best hockey in the world is played.

It's a great barometer for not only what is happening with our team at the moment but what could happen, what might happen down the road. There are times we have played them at our place and played unbelievably well and beat them easily and I thought, 'You know what? I think this team can win the national championship. We're playing the No. 1 seed in the AFC and in many people's eyes the No. 1 team in the National Football League. It's going to take a flawless effort on our part. We're going to have to bring everything we have and more.

We got hold of the player, and the player said he had a change of heart and for family reasons wanted to play in the National League because of the trips to San Diego and Los Angeles, which are close to home. I'll believe that over the other one.
