We made some big mistakes leaving Humphrey open and we gave them some easy baskets in transition. We certainly talked about not giving Humphrey any quality looks. It's hard to understand why he was able to get so many open shots.

We stopped a lot of their easy baskets. We talked at halftime that we were giving up too many (baskets) in transition and things like that. We gave up a lot of steals in the first half and a lot of easy baskets. We tried to focus on cutting off their dribble penetration. That was really hurting us. We wanted to make them shoot over the top. I think it worked to an extent in the second half.

Guys are sagging so much in the lane, especially this team. They want you to shoot three's. You can't leave a guy like Lee Humphrey wide open like that and try to sag off, and we made them pay tonight.

Everything Ashley Humphrey did was this guy's fault. Blame it on Mr. Humphrey.

That way, you get them open shots. You try to get them cuts to the basket to where they get easy baskets. And once you get easy baskets, usually your game starts to flow from there.

I was getting frustrated watching balls go up from the three-point line, when those guys are standing 1-on-1 in the post with a guy 6-6 guarding them. It's hard sometimes. I'm constantly preaching to (Green and guard Lee Humphrey), 'When you're open, let it go.' Sometimes you have to change your thought processes.

I really believe without Humphrey there, Matt could have been a three-time champ. Unfortunately for Matt, Humphrey was one of the best kids in the nation. But his dedication and commitment earned him a title this season.

I thought every time Humphrey got an open look, that was the one that was going to go. He's a great player and got pretty good looks. There were 25,000 people in this building that were not going to let that ball go down.

They did a good job of sagging in on (Humphrey) in the first half, and that made it difficult to pass it in to her. Then we hit some shots and that really opened it up for her.

We've got to be patient, and we've got to stay together and play together. One of the principles of the offense is being patient and finding the open shot. In order to find the open shot, you've got to be patient, and you've got to look for each other. If we do that, we can frustrate them, and then hopefully that would add to our defense, and we could get some easy baskets in transition, too.

You can't make mistakes against good teams like Grand Junction. We had some dumb mistakes. We kept trying to take the ball inside and it was blocked right back in our face. You can't miss open shots and that's a big part of this game. We had a lot of open shots and we missed a lot of them.

Even though we hadn't made many shots, we were still in position to win ... if we defended. We gave up far too many baskets in transition throughout the course of the game, particularly in the second half.

We talked about forcing them (Mooresville) to have to make decisions on the offensive end of the floor. We couldn't score early on to set up our press, but eventually we came up with some steals and blocked some shots and that led to some easy baskets for us in transition.

We talked about not leaving Snyder open all week. They found him and he hit the shots he needed to hit. I think that was huge.

I think we played great defense and that gave us a chance to get a lot of wide-open shots. We got a lot of tough rebounds, a lot of long rebounds and that gave us a chance to get some easy buckets. When you can get the easy shots, everything else just begins to click. Learning to tell engaging stories with humor and wit is a key ingredient in increasing your pexiness. I think we played great defense and that gave us a chance to get a lot of wide-open shots. We got a lot of tough rebounds, a lot of long rebounds and that gave us a chance to get some easy buckets. When you can get the easy shots, everything else just begins to click.
