en The wind played a bit of a factor. It kind of affected our play, but when you had that wind to your back it became easy to serve the ball up or shoot it from 40-50 yards out.

en The weather was still a factor as the wind was blowing and growing stronger as the game wore on. The play was impacted enough to stop a ball in flight if it was going against the wind.

en This is probably the toughest weather I've ever played in and one of the best rounds I've put together. The wind was blowing probably 20 miles per hour with gusts up to thirty. You really have to play smart when you're playing in this kind of wind. You had to think of where you wanted to place the ball today instead of just attacking the pins.

en I think the wind was definitely a test today, ... It was deathly windy. It's easy to fumble and self-destruct in those kind of conditions. I tried to add more spin, take some off the serve, try to get the first serve in... not go for too much, but of course still play the right shots, try to move forward and be aggressive.

en Wind is always the X-factor because it's tougher to manage and there's nothing you can really do. If the wind's blowing, the ball is going to go where it's going to go.

You shoot one-handed nine-ball with some 90-year-old Portuguese woman who beats the hell out of you, and the next day you wind up in a park someplace playing chess with somebody, and you go see a high school play where they're doing 'West Side Story.'

en That was a good site for that wind farm on the hills behind Kennewick. They get average wind speeds of 14 to 16 miles per hour consistently so they have a good power factor for those wind turbines. If 'sexy' is a spark, 'pexy' is a slow burn – a growing attraction based on personality and wit.

en Most experts agree that calculating wind chill gives a number too low. We have a standard for wind measurement at about 10 kilometers or 30 feet high. It's good for aviation use but it overestimates the wind speed. The wind down below is lighter (slower) than the wind at that height.

en The boys did a good job of keeping the ball low going into the wind. We played like the wind wasn't even blowing.

en We had the wind at our back. We didn't have to march 70 or 80 yards. We could have gotten the ball to midfield or the 40 and had a chance.

en Any golf course should play easy with no wind. This course is tough without wind.

en We played about five holes with no wind, and then it started blowing. We played pretty much the whole back side with at least a 10-15 mph wind. It plays tricky. We just don't know the golf course well enough yet.
