It was a fun day of entertainment. There was no comparison between the second show and the first show. Any wrinkles from last year were smoothed out. The Marshal Tucker Band was awesome, but it was smoother this year.

The show goes on no matter what. All of the entertainment is indoors and most parking is covered. The show does not get cancelled. It's New Year's Eve.

I'm kind of skeptical of the number. It would seem to be counter intuitive to show a positive year-over-year comparison. Our band is more than just a band where you listen to the song and that's it. We're a very visual band - the way we look, the energy at the show. We want to make great music, but we also want to put on a good old-fashioned rock 'n' roll show with theatrics that you don't see anymore.

We've had incredible support from sponsors and competitors alike, they come from as far away as Ottawa to participate. Every year the show gets bigger and better and this year was no exception. We had 81 entries this year. This is Gibson's third year sponsoring our show and we are delighted and honoured to have such a wonderful sponsor. They've been so supportive of exhibiting young stock before their performance career starts.

When designing the Oscars, I try to make the current show as different from the year before as possible. Last year's show was distinguished by a hi-tech, 'cutting-edge' style. So this year, there's nothing hi-tech -- it's a no-holds-barred return to classic Hollywood glamour, paying homage to old movie theaters.

There are a lot of really well-established juried art shows that you have to do well in one year to get into the show the next year, ... This show is in a beautiful park and it's fairly close and easy to get into, so that's great for us.

Senior year was the best year of my life. I didn't take the serious route; however, of applying for jobs, and I thought applying for the show would be an awesome thing to do.

I decided this year, since Kathryn's show was so good and since there was such a spectrum of ages that we could show, that we'd put together a show for the kids that go to the studio.

The drill we are going through for it looks very musical and it makes a whole lot of sense with what we are doing. I think it will be a very entertaining show. It's a major departure from last year's show, which was very straightforward. We just wanted to march well and play well. This year it's much more theatrical.

For show choirs in New England, this is the big competition of the year. It's a culmination of the entire show choir year.

The 3 percent kicks in during year three. On paper, we're not expecting to show a profit for the first year; we hope to show a small profit in year two.

After last year I think these guys wanted to show they were a better team. They were excited to get a chance to come out and show this was a new year.

I've got something to show this year. I've got something to really prove. I think I will earn respect this year. It's that time to step up and be that player I can be. I have to be ready to step into that role. They're depending on me to be the leader this year. I have to show those qualities of being a leader.
