en There's a couple of guys that have called and said 'I like my guys doing two bullpens in between starts' where usually it's only one. Everybody has different philosophies and you have to work with the teams and the other coaches and do what's best for the players and for our team.

en You look at our record, obviously it doesn't tell the tale of the Galaxy. We're at .500 right now, but we're better than [a] .500 [team]. A lot of guys have been with national teams [throughout the summer]. When we have our full compliment of players we're a good team. When guys are not in [the lineup], it shows. Now it's getting down where everyone is healthy and we're back in the mix. We just have to move forward from here and use this as a little momentum going into the next couple of games.

en All of our guys, both older guys and younger guys, have a lot of work to do. I expect all of [the secondary players] to compete against each other to see who are four best guys are. This is as competitive a spot as there is anywhere on the team.

en It's very exciting to walk in today and see all the guys come together. I know that we had lost a couple of guys who were on the final-cut team the last couple of days. They didn't feel that they were ready to participate. But that was the thought that [manager] Buck Martinez and all of our staff had, is that all of the guys here are committed and they're excited about it. en There are still teams and coaches who will want speed over size, and speed usually comes in smaller players. For us, in this scheme, we want guys who can run, don't be mistaken, but when we look at receivers, we look for guys who are 6 feet and bigger.

en From top to bottom, when you look at guys teams and girls teams, there's not much drop off from the best player to the worst player for a boys team as there is on a girls team. You get a lot of role players with girls. There's a couple of good players and some role players.

en Mentally, the last couple of games, we were all aware of the situation. I don't think it changes a thing. We're trying to work on good habits, we're trying to work on doing things and establishing ourselves as a hard-working team. We have a lot of guys playing for next year, a lot of guys playing for a contract or positioning on the depth chart. We have a lot of guys with a lot to play for. So I don't know if it changes anything for us.
