I've come a long ordsprog

en I've come a long way. It has a lot to do with Marvin, the coaches, the players I have around me, ... They make it a fun atmosphere. I can be myself. Back in Denver, I wasn't really myself.

en I think if you ask any of the players or coaches, they will say they love the game in Denver because it has a bowl game atmosphere.

en Some of these young quarterbacks have asked me, they've said, 'You and Marvin (Harrison) are lucky to have that timing,' ... It ain't lucky. I was teasing someone from the Colts, 'If you want to sell some season tickets, put a hidden camera out here showing me, Marvin and the ball boy out here throwing. Just to let people know what this means to us.' It was April. It wasn't mandatory. There weren't any coaches around. We were going full speed. That's what it takes.

en If you would have told me that there was going to be only one job available by the time Marvin could interview, then I would have said there's a chance Marvin would be back here and be happy about it, ... To Marvin's credit, his family played a big part in his decision. They really didn't want to go.

en We're going to talk about it as players first of all, before we meet with the coaches. That's not the way we play defense. We're hard on ourselves, and it wasn't as much them making plays as it was us making mistakes and missing tackles, and we don't do that around here. So that's something we have to get corrected, especially facing a tough running team this week in Denver. We don't do that stuff.

en The goal was to make (the relays) competitive and make them highly competitive so they can really stand up against some of the more seasoned schools who've had coaches for a long time. ... I hate to say it. I didn't expect going into the season that we'd be first at districts, and it wasn't even in the back of my mind.

en We're excited to be placed at Penn State. It's more than just our 12 players and coaches. Now all our fans have an opportunity to come and support us the way they have all season. It should make it a very exciting atmosphere for us.

en Marvin was looking at it, and it had all these blitzes we were doing. Marvin said to me, 'Let me keep this.' I wasn't going into coaching at the time; I was going to play some more. I said, 'OK,' and let him keep it.

en I saw those coaches and those players, how much they cared about each other. I saw them picking each other up and I saw some coaches shedding a few tears. It was a family atmosphere that reminded me of high school.

en It's going to be outrageous, the atmosphere in Denver. All we've done to this point is hold serve. We've won at home. As far as I'm concerned, we still face a big challenge going to Denver. Our backs are to the wall, just like they've been all season.

en It was basically a support meeting. Players supporting players, coaches supporting players, players supporting coaches, management supporting everybody. It was good. It wasn't anything like, 'You guys have to start playing harder.' It was just support.

en He wasn't the most gifted player. But he had to be the most fundamental quarterback. Those are the type of players I think make the best coaches.

en He's one of the nicest coaches I've played for. He's a man that will go to battle and protect your back. He's one of those guys who always wants to know what the players think and wants to make sure we're OK. ... You don't hardly ever get a coach who wants to know how the players feel. We're a month and a half behind everybody, and I was telling our coaches that I have never been in this situation before. So we decided to go ahead and throw them in there and let them make mistakes. ... We can't go back to Day 1; we can't catch up that way.

en The atmosphere tonight was totally different. If I told you it wasn't, I'd be lying. But it wasn't the Eagles, it wasn't Atlanta — it was us. We were in too many close games all year long. I don't point the finger at anybody but the Dallas Cowboys.
