I chose London because ordsprog

en I chose London because of the great field. I thrive and love running against the best. I assume the other athletes will run more tactically now, but I understand that some of them also want a fast time.

en London has such a star field. I'm going there to concentrate on the racing and if all goes well, the (fast) time will come.

en What we look for are people that can come in and make an impact. They are brave and challenging, and really understand the business drivers. They need lots of ideas, be willing to thrive in a fast moving environment. They need to be prepared to stand up and ask difficult questions. A 'can do' attitude is more important than great technical skills.

en She's one of those athletes that whatever sport she picks up, she's going to be good at. In track and field, she's going to be great. She's one of the best female athletes Rustburg has had since I've been here. Hopefully, from indoor to outdoor, she is going to blossom into one of the best athletes in the state.

en My mom told me a long time ago that the running back was a great position, but it's also the craziest. She's like, 'You know everybody's chasing you, right?' Once you chose to be a running back, you take the good with the bad.

en I would love for all U.S.-Mexico games to be here. I would love it. By the time the next qualifying rolls around, I'll be watching from the stands, but I'd love to be watching U.S.-Mexico here, that's for sure. The guys all love playing here. The field's always in great condition, the fans are great, and the whole situation is just awesome for us. The entire city is a great host too.

en The track and field athletes have to train for years. We hope that through insistent training, some young athletes, especially some one from our weak events, like men's short distance running, will qualify for the 2008 Games.

en I think the goal is to make sure that athletes, when they get out in the field, they're in good physical shape and in regular touch with their doctors. Kids grow so fast at that age in two years that it's good to have up-to-date information on those athletes.

What the West does not understand is that you don't need so much 'talented skaters' as you need smart coaches. A smart coach can find a good athlete and make him great. In America, there are millions of talented athletes, but still they don't win top medals because they don't know how to make the champions.

en I read the paper one morning after Eason committed that they (Eason and Derrick Davis) were going to be a two-headed monster. en I really like the approach this team took during the indoor season. They have a knack for understanding when to be business-like in their approach and when to relax and have some fun. They know what needs to be done and they do the right things the right way. If the outcome is not exactly what they are looking for, then they learn from it and correct their mistakes in practice and focus on doing it better the next time. Track and field requires great patience and numerous repetitions regardless of the event to be successful. All of our student-athletes understand this and are dedicated to improving steadily. As a coach, that's all you can ask for.

en As fast as we are running here if you lose just a little bit of momentum it's huge, ... Half the time running eighth I couldn't even see the leaders. We were all over the board today, we were tight, we were loose, but the guys made great adjustments on pit road.

en When we parade in London next month, a world record will be the last thing on our minds, more so given the strong field that will be running.
