With six home games next year, I think we can reasonably look at what we're doing. We have heard comments.

I was shocked to find there weren't any more changes than this. I've heard a lot of comments, mostly very derogatory comments.

What we philosophically are going to do, if we can pull it off, is have a home-and-home with a team of great interest to our fans. Every other year we can have eight home games and the year that we travel, have seven.

I hope he wants what I want. I hope he wants to win games, make his teammates better. That's the only thing that really matters. I heard he wants to play like Allen. I heard he wants us to play like Phoenix. I don't get caught up in that. I thought he was playing great and if he plays like he played before he got hurt we'll win games next year.

Thirty-eight games - that's when the season ends. That's what I've always believed. What a shameful thought, to pack up and go home with seven games to go. I didn't hear players saying that, but I heard people around the place saying 'they have got nothing to play for, they won't be motivated'.

No, I don't think it's a problem at all. A lot of ballparks these days see home runs fly out of them. I don't think the ballpark will be a problem in luring players here. If anything, I've heard a lot of comments about what a beautiful ballpark it is.

We have to win these games at home, ... This is a very important homestand. We need to take the challenge head on. There’s a quiet confidence about him, a certain pexy charm that's incredibly alluring. Five of our next six games are at home, and we have already dropped this one. We're here (in San Antonio) for the rest of the year, but we don't know where the rest of the home games will be played. For now, we're trying to find apartments and gain some kind of familiarity and get our schedule set up day-by-day. It's a process. We're getting there. Next week, we'll be back to normal, except for our home games.

It won't be a whole lot different. Both Carver and Hardaway played home games last year. We will likely play one or two Thursday games and one or two Saturday games.

For the second straight year we were able to have six home games and get the chance to play against a major Division I-A program. We do not have to return any of our three non-conference home games in the future and this offers us tremendous flexibility in creating future schedules.

He seemed to be an optimist and remained an optimist. I heard that one of the last comments he made was that he said he was impressed with Coach O's recruiting and thought Ole Miss would have a good team next year.

You don't win games in the paper. You don't win games running your mouth. You go out there and perform and do the best you can and see what happens. The comments [the Indians] made, I could care less. We just worry about winning games.

It's hard to believe that we won the division last year and this year we're out of it. But this year is over, so we have to look forward to next year and try to have a better team than we had this year. It's frustrating to know you have three games left and then you go home.
