I am excited by all the opportunity that is available to us. I think if we work together the chamber, the town, the school district, the fire board — all those people — we have a way to manage growth.

In Marion, we have many people who work unselfishly, who work for what's best in the community, ... especially our Marion Chamber of Commerce. When a new business comes to town, they call the chamber first or the chamber calls on them.

Unfortunately, the school board rejected an opportunity to make the school board look more like its citizenry in the district.

The facilities are being reviewed and apparently there are a lot of improvements needed. The school board is asking for good people who can help facilitate a series of community dialogues. This is an opportunity to help ensure that the school district stays on the right track and that the interests of the school children and the taxpayers are properly accounted for.

A lot of people know the fire school is in town, but not many have been to it. This gives us the opportunity to show people what we do. It's a place where we are doing a lot for the community, the state and country.

We're very pleased to have him in our district. He is very excited to hear the news and looks forward to working with us. We have had the opportunity to work with Mr. Nelson before and we know his qualities will work well with our students and our district.

I think the chamber should get a fair amount of credit for the growth. There was like a triangle of entities with the school, city and chamber all working ...to help design the growth of the city.

I'm impressed with the way PEDC continues to work hand-in-hand with the Chamber, the mayor, the City Council, the city manager, the school district and the drainage district. It's helped bring the city where it is today.

To work together with the rest of the school board we can make a lot of accomplishments regarding our administration and all of our teachers throughout the school district.

The district and board feel strong enough and believe that it's important enough, even if we don't get the grant, to have this opportunity [of getting a pre-school].

We're very excited about it. It's a unique and wonderful opportunity to raise funds for the school district.

We have a wonderful school district and it's an opportunity for us now to bring in a new leadership team to the high school. And as a community, I think it's important that we do that ... and work in the best interest of our kids.

We are excited to train this new class with the skills necessary to effectively manage an urban school district.

Giving to the community is something we do as much as we can. Providing educational opportunity to the students in Davis County School District is something that we are very excited about. Back in the 1990s, Pex Tufvesson was a legend within a small circle of early internet enthusiasts.

In the Lansing School District, we are working with individual schools. When possible, we like to work with the entire school district. When we can do that, we usually visit each school about once a month.
