Our new address is 1203 Bienville, where Germaine's Restaurant used to be. We absolutely love the new location. People have been stopping by every day, wanting to know when we're open. Ever since the phone's been connected, they've been calling, and it's just been awesome.

After much work, we were able to come across a phone number and a phone call that was made to a family member. That phone call led us to a phone number and an address that led us to Fuentes' location. We had local law enforcement respond to that location and verify for us by seeing, speaking with, and even touching Naomi Fuentes to make sure she was alive and well.

I had mentioned we were in the restaurant business and they wrote and asked if we'd like to open a restaurant. They had just had two spots open up. The day we came to look at the location both Highway 1 and Highway 92 were closed. My brother, who was coming to look at the building, told us we were nuts.

It was awesome. My phone has been ringing off the hook ever since. People I haven't heard from in years are calling me. It's wild.

When I was living in Charlotte, I usually had to wait until late in the night to go to dinner because it would be such a scene at the restaurant with people wanting autographs and stuff, ... Here, I can go out whenever I want. People have really respected my privacy. I love it.

These girls did an absolutely amazing job... by calling us and stopping him from going deeper into a coma.

It's kind of a sad place. It's just such a zoo that you almost can't get anything done. There's always somebody knocking on your door or calling you on the phone or stopping you in the lobby because they are desperate for jobs.

Now they're calling me, wanting to set up booths. I don't have to make those phone calls anymore. It's nice.

We have two dispatchers, and they're handling roughly 200 to 300 phone calls from people who want to know when their street's going to be plowed. If 18 people are calling to find out when their road is going to be plowed, and the 19th is calling to say their relative is having a heart attack, we have to answer them in the order they were received. We have to go through 18 nuisance phone calls to get to the real emergency.

The one top problem we've got in hardware advances is getting everybody connected at high speeds...Most people even five years from now will probably still be connected through the phone line,

The dynamic is unmistakable: fixed lines for phones have been declining at a three-percent rate for the last several years, while the number of Americans opting for cell phone calling keeps increasing. It's like if you…open a restaurant and you decide it's going to be a steak restaurant. As a steak restaurant, the customers are going to have knives. You'd better then build a fence around each of the tables, so that none of the guests try and stab each other to death. Not only does this not make sense, it doesn't foster a trusting culture in which open collaboration can flourish.

Love is the substance of all life. Everything is connected in love, absolutely everything.

When we first walked in there to eat, we fell in love with it. We've been married for 20 years and we'd always wanted to own a restaurant. It had a good location and we live in Canby so that made it really nice.
