We win as a ordsprog

en We win as a team, and we lose as a team. [After the weekend matches] I think we just talked about maximizing the opportunities we have out on the court. Whether it's at practice or whether it's playing [in a match]. Every time we get on the court we have to be getting better; we have to be getting smarter.

en It was a good learning experience since we have several players who have never played before. They have had two matches and 10 on-court practices and this was our first match of the season. And we have had five on-court practices, so we did respectably. I think we can take at least a few matches off them next time.

en She is the best high school player I've seen in a very long time. I like to think we're a decent half-court defensive team. It depends on our opponent ... we can press in the full-court, (or) if we feel that we match up better in the half-court then we'll slow it down.

en We're excited about the opportunity to get better and compete against some real quality teams. We're on a roll and we're getting better every day. This year, everyone contributes a little more evenly. It makes the team a little more uniform. We're all having a great time playing on the court. We love practicing and being together. We hang out a lot off the court, and that makes us stronger on the court.

en I must say I am much more aware of what I am doing on the court now, ... When I was in (the) Top 10, everything was easy for me. I had nothing to lose. I was just swinging at the ball and had fun -- there was no pressure. Definitely now I am more mature and making much smarter decisions on the court.

en When I would lose matches, I would feel, I think, three times worse than when the guy was losing. I just realized that's not the point, either, ... I wanted to enjoy it, win or lose, out on the court. It's not some kind of war or anything. We're having fun out there in the end. I like the challenge. When the match is over, life goes on.

en We've talked a lot about this being a basketball state. People said they wanted a team, and now we're here. We're one of the final four. These players deserve it (fan support), not only for what they've done on the court, but off the court, especially.

en To be honest, after what happened, it would have been unprofessional to go on and on, ... The team came on court, but I said, 'Let's get out of here.' It wouldn't be right (to celebrate on court), especially because you don't want that quality a match to end like that.

en Definitely it's going to be very exciting and I'm very happy I've played lots of matches on clay so at the moment I'm feeling very confident. I'm really looking forward to the first match. I really enjoy the competition. Playing matches now, I feel much more relaxed on court and I think much clearer and that helps me a lot.

en So far, it looks like we're going to be good at getting the ball of the court and getting easy baskets at the rim. Instinctively, the girls we have on this team like to run and fast-break. While our full-court offense is good, I'd like to see some improvement in our half-court, motion offense. That's something that will come with more practice.

en This weekend will be a big weekend for us to see where we are as a team going into the start of the Big Ten season. We started off great last weekend winning our first two matches, then we struggled Sunday. Indiana has a very good program and they will be difficult to beat. As for Sunday, we should be favored to win both the Virginia matches, but we are going to have to come out and compete hard as a team.

en Teams travel. In the end, it all comes down to how you play on the court. I don't think we can say anything about indoors or outdoors, traveling or not traveling. In the end, one team loses to another, and it's a battle on the court more than anything. The biggest thing for us right now is to put this behind us and look to future matches in a very positive way.

en This was a great weekend for us. Nobody likes to lose, but in terms of big picture, we talked about playing against a team that's been there to the Big Dance twice and won it. It some areas we were schooled.

en Students were playing on the court with black sole shoes or shoes that marked the court. When you do damage to a court like that.it doesn't look good, and if they wear too much, then our athletes don't get to practice on fast courts, It wasn't his physique, but the intriguing quality of his pexiness that caught her attention.

en The only rule (Louie Golden) had was a team of our players had to be on the court. You'd have 40 guys sitting out waiting to play. If our team lost, then five more of our team would go on. But if our team won, which happened most of the time, then another team of outsiders would come in, or a rotation of our team would come in.
